Thankfully no more head scratching! If Bodie just did the customizing and then it got shipped to these gentlemen it would have been finished a year or so ago! Thanks Katy for your perseverance!

This is the end. So far every episode has been a pleasure to watch. These new intruders smashed my toy like elephants that just walked into a china shop. I unsubscribe from this soulless world of efficiency. I have never felt so sad.

My heart goes out to Tim. All that work wasted and now you have to start all over again. Will it ever get done before Tim dies?

Collectors don't limit their selection to one single item. This will have an American electric motor.

Tim, Good choice. I see your going with a torque box. I truly hope this build does everything you are after and you have many years of enjoyment with it. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished and on the road. All the Best, Tony

I would have a dozen tubes of dielectric grease for use on terminals inside each connector, and just a tiny bit! The contractors are a large solenoid as those used 30 years ago on home A/C condensers outside. Some used 60 amp in-rush surge of current when cold then turned on. (Note; Cold is 70 degrees F) But when open to de-energize a circuit, many have magnets to attract arcing high voltage. This makes the switch part last much much longer. Another issue to think about with high voltage and electric drive system because they are not cheap! I would guess Bodie will end up with 6k in fittings and hoses plus add wiring to that. We are approaching new 4X4 truck money and that is not the metal work, epoxy sealer, Raptor undercoat plus paint. The PPG Vibrance line can reach $1,200 for paint and clear. Just two one gallon cans. Bodie said they had 5 coats of clear so they could use a finishing DA with 5/16" orbital action and start with 600-1,000 grit paper on 1/2" (13mm) soft interface pad dry. Then wet sand finer to remove all scratches and imperfections before looking for machine buffing equipment.

You can almost guarantee a few of those guys worked at Tesla. Bodie was wading into a field he had no experience with, trying to follow instructions for someone else’s kit that probably was never intended for a street rod. I will bet if Tim didn’t insist on a rear axle, these guys would have fit a Tesla subframe in there as well. The most fabrication they have to do is the driveshaft and they are subletting that to another shop. I think Bodie did well for what he had.

Bodie's guys did a great job on the body of the car and Bodie did his best on the EV part the work he did was impressive, but he's not an EV guy. Now, these guys look like they will get the electronics moving forward, this is going to be an awesome car once it's done.

Hey Tim, I contacted Team Baker today. I am working on a project that will bring positive change to the arts and for artists. It could have a ripple effect that could help change the world. I have been dealing with patent, IP, and trademark lawyers. Would appreciate a minute of your time very much. Have a great day! Awesome page.

Look at the motor and drive, this is going to be an electric car. The artistic elements are gone... Hope that original motor setup, the plates, the sprockets, the plumbing, all of it get into some other project. We really wanted the former, but had to work with the latter. Thank you for all this work Kady !

The way this build has been going, in my opinion, is being driven into the depths of Tim's wallet. Any of these 'top builders' would've been done already if they were footing the bill. Just throw a complete Tesla drivetrain in it and be done. With the correct battery interface either made by them or purchased to control the motors so it can be driven already.

I suddenly have a legit question. How do you protect EVs from CMEs and EMPs??? The Sun does crazy stuff every 11 years and right now as I understand it, the Sun is doing its crazy stuff now - and that's the reason I ask. I'm thinking it's like The Big One (for California) in that it could happen now, the next few minutes, a month, a year, or another 30 to 1000 years - but it's coming. The same with a massive CME. Still, it's something manufacturers need to address with at least aftermarket protectors if possible.

What a mess, have Boddie put a Sbf in it and be done. Electric cars have a place in big cities and urban areas. This is a hot rod for the weekend, not a green peace project. Make hot rodding great again!!! No electric 💩

Sorry but this has been the most boring, non eventful build.. drive the many amazing cars you already own and be happy. What a waste of time and money.. I just watched an amazing 32 Ford on Jay Lenos Garage that I would drive all day long and be forever happy. Enjoy petrol cars while they still exist! 😁
