Yeah, I think he really missed that point. Worst case is we only spent 1 1st round pick on a bust...I was scared we would spend 3 1st rounders on a bust...A 6th to get JJ and a top 10 player at 17? I'll take it!

Completely agree! Having JJ slip to 10 and preserving our draft capital was a massive win. I hope he ends up being in the good to great range, but only time will tell 🤞

Immediately names that come to my mind are jamarcus russell, Vince young, Ryan leaf, Johnny manziel, Tim couch, pretty much every person that the Cleveland browns ever drafted as a quarterback. Well Baker Mayfield is okay but there have been some real busts at quarterback.

I think what this guy meant by “worst case” is his expected range of outcomes i.e., he’s not expecting him to be a bust. But yeah, definitely not the worst case

KOC is such an offensive mastermind, his roots in Washington, LaFleur, McDaniels, Shanahan, McVay. He knows how to produce an elite offense, really hoping all the stars align for this kid. We need him!

Nah, they got 2 good players both with question marks as far as development goes. Mortgaged a lot to get those two players, they do have a great coaching staff but I wasn't blown away by their draft class as a whole.

To say they had the best draft by a long shot for one is impossible to know for years and two it's not like they had deep class of picks of high value. Mccarthy and turner are both raw, id say the bears had a better first round and many other teams had better value in the late rounds.

I’d love to see him start right away this year, but if we want to develop him, I don’t mind seeing Darnold start this year and see what he’s got first. As pumped as I am about getting JJ and hoping for a future with him at Minnesota, I’m just as excited to see what Darnold is capable of.

I love Mullens. The vikes did the same thing to Rosenfel a few years ago. The guy could whip that ball downfield and played great but they got rid of him. Theyre doing the same to Mullens. Just get his ints under control and that guy could break some passing records with the offense we have. I am also 100% behind JJ Mc. I wanted them to draft him and he could be the next big thing, we are all hoping so.

He’s going to be even better than Tom Brady. Already was way more successful than Brady was in college. Vikings totally duped the rest of the NFL and used Maye as a smoke screen to get the greatest college QB in history. 27-1. He carried Michigan the whole way. A team who had to mostly run because they didn’t have any elite receivers. JJ will be a superstar in the NFL.

Okay they said that at worst he's going to be a solid starter for a decade. That's not guaranteed in the NFL at all. There have been people who were first overall picks that there have been people who were first overall picks that everybody thought was going to be a Hall of famer. And they were out of the NFL in less than 5 years. JaMarcus Russell, Vince Young, Ryan leaf, and several other. I think about Colin Kaepernick who showed promise in their first two years and then just completely was a fiasco after.

O line was top 10 last year even with all the injury issues, we literally drafted a kicker that set cfb records this draft, but I do agree that we need a better corner as well as some help on the interior of the defensive line. All in all tho our roster is lightyears better than it’s been in the past decade. Every team has a few holes tho, that’s why there’s cap space to prevent super teams

I have him as either the 4th or 5th best QB in this draft. I have 1 Caleb Williams, 2 Drake Maye than after a long gap Jayden Daniels at 3 and JJ and Bo Nix tied at 4. I do think JJ will succeed though just because of the team around him. The Vikings were smart not to trade up for him though. He reminds me of a more athletic Kirk Cousins which is perfect for the Vikings because Cousins played great in their system.
