I own a float center. I have 2 rooms that need floor moping several times a day. I used this product and it is the best. BUT only for a little while (1 month max). Why? Because the spinning system/mechanism breaks down after that. The mop works brilliantly when new and when the mechanism is working properly, both for moping and then drying afterwards (meaning you can easily drench the water out of the mop with the spin). But, I am now on my 4th Vileda Turbo and every single one of them (some sooner, some later) break down and become just a mop and a bucket. The pedal sratrs to push/fall through to the floor without it spinning the part which is supposed to spin. It's not me. The first one I had was working properly for about a year. The second one (around lockdown, and covid times) was working for about 4-5 months. The 3rd for about 2 months, and my current one for 1 month. oh, and btw, the price skyrocketed. It used to be around 30 punds/40 dollars. Now it's around 50 punds/ 65 dollars (here in Croatia here I'm from). I love the product when it's working. But it becomes utter rubbish quite quickly. Shame.

How is it 3 yrs on?? I've seen lots of complaints about the pedal breaking that spins the mop drier

I’ve still got this exact one and it works fine? I imagine if you are to heavy footed with it I guess it could break? That said as you saw on the video I give it quite a stomp as I don’t like my floors soaking wet and it hasn’t broken. What can happen though is if you get that section wet it causes a rust build up over time, I just clean it and spray with some WD-40 so potentially that could be the issue others have had. But my one is still going strong ☺️

Clean the mop? As in the handle? That can just be wiped down with a damp cloth the heads are all replaceable but soaking it in bleach water keeps mine clean xxx 😘

No it’ll be to wet still with the type of mop head I’d get the normal vileda mop if you don’t want a pedal one ☺️

I use a small amount of liquid laundry detergent+hot water, never used softnener before and never thought of that ! Great tip!

ive got 1 used it once and went back to my old mop as the turbo mop is junk. It might wring the water out better but its rubbish when i try to mop the floor. the bit the mop fits into just keeps trying to flip over and scrapes the floor rather than the mop part itself. Think they changed the design since this vid was made as mine hasnt got the spout or the mop handle holder in the handle.

Mmmmm boiling water with bare feet - ouch and what if little ones around? Once that water goes into the bucket and is swished around with the spinner the temperature is well below boiling and will not sterilise the floor. But Haley you are a great / brilliant presenter.

Fear not Andrew I’ve not had an accident yet, I mostly use bleach on the floors this is just a nice little in between clean 🥰 Yes you are absolutely correct when using any cleaning products or hot water you must be careful with children and pets, my three are all of an age now where they know not to touch boiling water or chemicals ☺️ Thank you Andrew that is very sweet sending lots of love x
