I don't know why, but I feel sorry for those people who say the movie The Village was boring, terrible, a waste of their time. I feel if you don't have the sensitivity to see what a remarkable masterpiece this movie is, there is sadly something missing in your soul, something gentle, and caring for the human condition of your fellow human beings on this planet we all share. But as in everything, we all have our own opinions, and this is mine.

Unfortunately the movie was labeled incorrectly as horror, then all movie sites used this label and people got disappointed where is the horror in it? I also started to watch it as horror, then I realized it is a very nice romantic movie, and I still loved it, even if I got something else I expected.

When we do find them it's amazing and perplexing. However, most of the time we find it futile to use words. If finding "the words" was easy I would be writing poems left and right xD trust me I'm into calligraphy and sometimes I miss the words! Nowadays I find myself hating poems 'cause the words just don't speak (ironic much?). I once thought maybe it was the fact of desensitization over mere words on paper; maybe people just don't know how to appreaciate the word; maybe I'm just crazy

After watching Glass today I think you should all pay The Village a second viewing. Kinda underrated if you ask me. If you still hate it, that's fine, but I recommend giving it a second chance.

You have inspired me. I rarely hate movies, I didn't hate the Village, but reading your comment I think I might get more from a second viewing. Sometimes more subtle works of art don't get the attention they deserve. Thanks for the comment.

The Holy Spirit - as one of his many gifts - saved me from nostalgia. Once this music, for me too, would have been sadness with the past. Now it is joy and comfort with today... which is Sunday. May Father-Creator, Son-Saviour and Holy Spirit-Comforter be with you, friend. "Signs" is also the co-work of Shyamalan and Howard... and the Holy Spirit, so see.

We know we must be in the world, but not of it. Since begging Father, Son and Holy Spirit to cleanse me before what I thought would be my rapid death (OF COURSE They heard me), I have been trying to achieve the above (my first sentence), with varying degrees of success. The Holy Spirit offers discernment, and I am much better at seeing the evil in the world now (there's plenty of it); but I am also kinder and indeed better than before in a whole host of ways. I have daily joy from the love and the truth even in the face of the dire awfulness of the 2020s. Since my being born again (that was 28-2-21), I have written to thousands of people on KZbin. It's my mission, and it gives me great joy. Of course, I am just the conduit, but that's more than OK. Very few people reply, but that's OK too. May God bless you, and give you resilience to face all. He REALLY can do that!

Great film and a fantastic score. Hilary Hahn is the violinist. It's a shame all those Vin Diesel movie lovers would stop watching these movies that have an interesting and different story which doesn't involve blowing cars up. Go back to watching your 15 y/o viewer movies that the Hollywood cookie cutter churn out week after week.

I'm hearing music not on the soundtrack. Where did you find it?
@willphillipsmusic9 жыл бұрын
+Scott Bernard James Newton Howard is unique in that he always creates a suite for the films he scores, so when it comes to scoring the actual film he already has material to work with. This is the suite, therefore it was not used in the actual film. I'm guessing this was probably recorded and produced separately, perhaps in his own studio. So the film studio doesn't own the rights to include it in the soundtrack. Although I can't really answer your question... because I can't seem to find it either.
@Schnurpselbacke19 жыл бұрын
+Will Phillips Music, that's because this suite was made by myself (at home, with Windows Movie Maker). :D
