THE VILLAGE OF TADOUSSAC (QUEBEC) CANADA

Our travel plans outside Canada having been canceled due to the presence of Covid-19, we decided to take our vacation in Quebec this summer and travel more than 5,270 kilometers to discover the various tourist attractions of the Côte-Nord as well as the Gaspé.
This summary will report on our lived experiences on the North Shore while the Gaspé will be the subject of a future summary.
The Côte-Nord, known for its grandiose nature, is the ideal place for outdoor enthusiasts since you can practice several activities such as hiking, wildlife observation, sea kayaking as well as fishing and hunting (to name a few).
It is also one of the best places in the world to observe whales.
Our journey on the Côte-Nord takes place between the villages of Tadoussac and Kegaska since Route 138 ends in front of the beautiful and long Kegaska beach.
THE VILLAGE OF TADOUSSAC

This is not our first visit to Tadoussac. However, it is always a pleasure to return to this charming little village located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.
Tadoussac is a very popular tourist destination since it is first and foremost one of the best places on the North Shore to observe marine mammals both at sea and along the coast.
In addition, several types of accommodation are offered (bed and breakfast, hotel, camping) and there are several restaurants as well as a grocery store with an SAQ license.
This village has a very pretty beach, the depth of which changes with the tides.
During our visit, we hiked the Pointe-de-l'Islet trail, took a zodiac excursion to observe marine mammals (which were also very numerous), went to see the dunes of Tadoussac and its waterfall and made the observation of the black bear in Sacré-Coeur.
We stayed two nights at Camping Domaine des Dunes (GPS coordinates: 48.142825, -69.685692).
