Hi Emma I live in Newcastle upon Tyne , we have the castle keep on our quay side I loved going there when I was a kid and then taking our boys there when I had kids , We have Alnwick and Bambtough castle we are lucky in the northeast top so many more places🍃💖🦋💖🍃to visit xxx

Enjoyed that little tour❤ my daughter is 24 & shes made scrapbooks of her old haunts , fave places , food etc sometimes she gets them out & we have a chat . So interesting to look at as some places have disappeared. Loved those shoes Sooz gave you. The colours really nice! I love sturdy shoes as i wear mine out too much. What a pang I felt seeing where you and Souz grew up---such a sweet, pretty village. I would have been in the fish and chip shop all the time (we don't have them here, as you know). Either that----or we would have been at the top of whatever tree was facing the one you two were in! 😝 We were truly incorrigible! One time a police car stopped and told us off because we were climbing all over the top of the wooden foundation of a new house being built!! We were walking along all the, perhaps, foot-wide beams!!! How we managed not to fall and kill ourselves is still beyond me!🤗No--our Mum and Dad never knew! 🤐 Anyway, am very happy Souz felt well enough to enjoy your visit---I knew how much you suffer when she suffers. Twins come in one big loving package!!🥰

Sad but true. Yes, we have the occasional shops that try to imitate yours, but the fish is different and you don't get the additional items that I saw (and tried)---Savoloyd???what was that, now??--=and the fish batter is so different--it's soooo delicious in England-- and the whole 'ambiance' of an American 'take-off' is so wrong! I loved your fish and chips shops so much---the best I remember having was on a motoring holiday and the friend my friend was visiting (we were in N. Yorkshire in a tiny village) brought some in for us. I can still remember the phenomenal delicious grease dripping down my fingers, on to the newspapers and being just so astounded that anything could taste so good!! (And forget about our 'chips'--they are nothing like yours.) I have been blessed with such a good clear memory of events from so far back in the past--so I am lucky to be able to 'relive' those good times over and over.....It's weird but I can feel such a sharp pang..a yearning.....sometimes, to be back in Britain again....almost as if it was my 'land' in a different lifetime?? (By the time I was 11, I knew I would go to live there at some point.) My Dad(who we were so close to) used to sadly roam the house muttering "Why England? Why?" --during the months before Al and I left in 1969. And I would reply--and meant it--"I really don't know why Dad---I just need to go there so badly." It WAS rather odd?! (Funny---I JUST got a long e-mail an hour ago, from a flatmate, Pat-- she and I and Irene shared a flat in Highgate in 1973! We've never lost touch., although Irene died so suddenly a few years ago.... I still miss her so.") Well, enough of Memory Lane--this is YOUR Vlog--not mine! LOLOL! Emma I have never been to UK so this was a nice treat. Thank you….yes that definitely was an orb. Have to say I get a bit “dizzy” when driving with you and Jo bc driving on left. Lol..I’d kill someone if I was there..lol.. I can’t wait for our trip camping. You will love it! I know I will and so will puppies. Hi Emma Oh what a lovely childhood trip down memory lane. I often drive past my childhood house I lived there from the Age of 2 till I was 19. I was an only child so never experienced having brothers and sisters. Although I was never lonely. Maybe that’s why I had 7 children myself. I live near Windsor Castle 🏰 and go there often. It really warmed my heart ❤ My childhood was similar in the way that we lived in a village near Bakewell and made incredible dens in the beautiful countryside. Biking around the surrounding villages to see friends and just being outdoors all the time ❤ I would love to go back and visit ❤ So much love to Sooz, I'm so glad that you were able to spend more time together this visit and that her pain was more managed. Sooz - if you read this I'm sending you so much love and gentle hugs and keeping you in my heart ❤ I understand the trauma triggers, my trauma therapist was fab, he really was excellent. Although when I met him for the first time I was completely distracted because I swear he was the spit of the celebrity chef Simon Rimmer. I kept wanting to ask him which came first, the psychology or the cooking 😂😂😂😂 I'm beyond excited for you and Ash and the babies to get away in your little piece of paradise. Eeeekkkk it's actually happening!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 I've overdone it a bit today. I've been unpacking and cleaning, whilst sat on my bum, and worn myself out. It was lovely seeing your old house and hearing about your past ❤ I’m glad you had a wonderful visit with Sooz. I love castles…the nearest one to us is Herstmonceux Castle. Herstmonceux Castle is a brick-built castle, dating from the 15th century, near Herstmonceux, East Sussex. It is one of the oldest significant brick buildings still standing in England. What beautiful scenery! I count things too. A little OCD but more ADHD. We don’t have any castles here but the US is beautiful in areas. Maryland where I grew up is so beautiful the further west you go. I grew up I a little town that has grown up so much. But we live in the western part of the state and so glad we live here now. I get to work remotely which is nice. Spend as much time with Sooz as you can. I know you both enjoy it and the little cat naps she gets help her to recharge her batteries. The orbs you see are, I believe angel protecting you all. Hugs and kisses.

I've lived In strensall since 1979 when I was 4 we moved here, we lived on hallard way, then Melcombe ave, my mum now lives on middlecroft drive, I live off west pit lane near the school but moving out of strensall in 3 weeks, the six bells closed ages ago I remember when the Chinese was the camp cafe xx

What a lovely video. I live near a lot of castles here in Scotland. Edinburgh Castle, Neidpath Castle and there is Duntarvie, Staneyhill,Blackness, Murieston. Lochcote. Illieston. Carribber. Bridge. Ochiltree. There is also Midhope Castle which was used in the Outlander tv series. There are a lot driving in the other directio too which takes around half an hour. My favourite is neidpath. It's so atmospheric inside.

Hi Emma, I've lost my hearing at the moment. It happens sometimes. The longest was 8 months. I couldn't watch your blog because I couldn't hear it. I'll have to wait until my hearing returns. What lovely comments you've had. I left school at 16 in 1985, you would have been 5. The 80s seems like a lifetime ago. It comes across that you had a fantastic childhood. I remember sitting on a park bench, next to my infant's school, whilst the rest of the class were doing gym activities. I sat out of the lesson for a while due to my mobility issues and there was an old man at the other end of the bench. I must have been about 5, and he said these words that I'll never forget, "Do you know these are the best years of your life?" I spoke back to him, but I can't remember what I said. When I became an adult, away from home, not having parents to do everything for me etc, his words came back to me. Our childhoods define who we become. Sending you and your followers love and best wishes. If you watched Gavin and Stacy. That's where I grew up. You can take the woman out of Barry, but you can't take Barry out of the woman. I used to love clubbing in the night club right opposite the icecream kiosk. It was called,. "The Feathers."

👋🏻Sooz and Emma. Lovely seeing where you grew up. I live not far from Hever Castle in Kent. It's open to the public and there are many events there and gorgeous grounds. But also lived in Wakefield for a while when little as my dad comes from Wakefield we lived in Lofthouse opposite the pit 1 house away from the cake factory that was there as my dad was manager at the time lol xx
