Probably hard to believe, but being a teenager in the 90s, the SATs, amazing red, quiet storm, all those dudes used to wrestle independents all over NYC, I used to see them in queens, and Spanish announce team was crazy over back then. The crowd loved those dudes.

Juventud Guerrera in TNA for ring of the hawk. Would be timely with his match coming up with Jericho this coming Wednesday and he had 15 matches in the company from 2/25/03 through 3/3/2004. The one thing is some of those matches are made up in tournaments but if you want a Ring of the Hawk that would result in good matches, that would be a good choice.

I was and am a huge 90s ECW fan used to get VHS tapes shipped to UK back in '97 but apart from a handful of alumni watching ECW guys like Kid Kash shows you how amazing Paul Heyman was at promotion/production as he used to come out to Bawitdaba by Kid Rock but just like Taz,New Jack,Kronus,Tommy Dreamer,Raven,Jerry Lynn take away the Heyman sprinkle & you're not left with a lot ALL of those guys Peaked '97-'99. The one I respect most is Rhino from making a 25 year career doing EXACTLY what Goldberg does but somehow gets none of the flak and all the love for it lmao

first off, I’m loving this series and a big influence in my impact+ subscription, as i’m starting from the very beginning as well. (currently on ppv #32). your takes are spot on, just pay attention to the weekly don west hype/commentary, because as stupid as the booking can be, it IS somewhat explained (ex. x-division gauntlet rules, etc…) - not trying to nit-pick, and i hope you continue with this series until the final weekly ppv! thoughts on 2002 year end award winners? amw for sure best tag team, moty ki/lynn/styles triple threat ladder match, moment - russo debut perhaps?, and feud of th year has to be lynn/styles since they had a bunch of matches. no proper blowoff though.

I discovered TNA as a kid around this time randomly surfing thru PPV channels on Time Warner cable. It was on PPV every Wednesday for like 9 dollars. I remember seeing LOD, Mr Perfect , Crash, Paul Bearer, Road Dogg, etc.. I was definitely interested just based off wwf alumni. Then found it again on fox sports a few times. Disappeared again. Then eventually, boom, spike tv TNA debuts and makes history 🔥also around nwa tna 02/03 time, i found a playground byw show called 2KW on a local access channel. The same place Ortiz & Santana original were from 💯
