@@cynthiaennis3107 Jim's grandfather, also James Drury, came from County Roscommon. When Jim was in Ireland, he visited his cousin Vincent Drury, who has a farm there. The first of 6 times that I met him.

Which means I have always loved all our tv cowboys ( including) Bonanza ( little Joe & Hoss Cartwright) Gunsmoke ( Matt ) The Riffleman ( Lucas McCain) Big Valley ( Heath & Nick Barkley) Laredo , Paradise , Rawhide ( Clint Eastwood) The Young Riders ( the kid ) & of course The Virginian ( Virginian & Trampas ) and many others. Thanks for making this great tribute With the Beautiful song you used . We the fans will always miss our cowboys & they can not ever be replaced but we will never Forgot all the amazingly BEAUTIFUL TV MEMORIES they brought us week after week , month after month and year after year. I am on the other side of the Globe. Still I feel saddened by JD's parting away. Watched almost all Virginian episodes, till Men from Shiloh. Was planning to order a personalized souvenir from JD in March. But he was gone in April. RIP.

Met Jim and his wife Carl Ann when they came to Ireland for a vacation in 2008 shouck his hand more than once and thanked him for all the entertainment he gave us when we were growing up that lasts to this day and beyond ❤

I loved James Drury. He was a very handsome man.He had. Good manners for the ladies. I loved the fact that he tip his hat to the ladies. He was a dam good actor,so was Doug Mcclure..
