This was one of my favourite animes in the 90s! Can't wait to get it, the UK has a ultimate release of this as well next month. I didn't know Funimation was doing a kickstarter, any reason behind it? The other publisher is just releasing it normally

Man I think you guys got screwed a bit with the art book compared to the one we got in the UK with the ultimate edition what with it being twice the size and double the length. But then again, you got all the kickstater extras so I think that kinda compensates for it a bit.

It should be "your" in the description not your'e. I hadn't ever even heard of this series before I attended an anime convention this summer. A couple of the people cosplaying at it had really good cosplays for the mechs in the series. I mean people seem to like this series, but i'd have to watch it before deciding whether I want to actually buy it or not.

What's the 2004 English dub?

The anime was originally dubbed by Bandai using the Ocean Group. It ran on Fox for a short run only to be pulled due to people's issues of the over edited tv run. Funimation realized the anime had directors cut version of episodes that feature new scenes and personally decided to redub the entire anime for better or worse.
