Sounds like they are pretty realistic about their market potential. With Yamaha exiting the biz this is a good oppurtunity for them.

If nothing else they would be good PR for ski mountains to use them for their ski patrols and maintenance. They’re be great for ecotourism ski tour companies as he said but I’m not sure how they would do for that because of the amount of turnaround you need each day to be profitable.

Not for everyone, but definitely a market for this. Cost to charge at home will only be a few dollars, huge savings there!

It has a place on the trail, Touring the back country, being able to rechargable is a huge hurdle! I don't think they will ever concur the market! It will never reach the top of the mountain like a true Mountain Sled!! 😮

@@robertm7554there isn't exactly anything wrong with having a gas or an electric engine, there are benifits and drawbacks to both, the whole emissipn thing is a big enough reason alone for some people to buy electric, not to mention the cost of actually running them, gas and oil is expensive Ofcourse there are problems with going electric too, milage being one of the biggest reasons why some people aren't too keen, and specifically with snowmobiles weight is a pretty big question to consider too. There's some good and bad stuff no matter what you buy

@@robertlarrabee9115you're kinda saying it as if there's nothing you need to replace with a gas powered engine after a while, snowmobiles are in general pretty expensive

You have showed that you can build a electric snowmobile kudos for a successful endeavor but I would say that a snowmobile is a necessity in rural Alaska and Canada with the sport/utility segment being the primary segment, how do you plan on introducing a new product to rural places like the aforementioned rural areas that are already behind in most modern technology most rural powerplants in communities throughout rural Alaska are still in single phase, coupled with astronomical fuel prices to operate them, let alone availability, also from a maintenence aspect most Rural snowmobile owners are adept on working on existing 2/4 stroke sleds by necessity.

I was surprised to see a Tesla charger at the Inn in Revelstoke, BC - a major snowmobile region in Canada. The snowmobile playground isn't far from the hoteleries and , for sure, Revy is going to cater to all sledders.

In America there won't be enough charging stations. This might be a fun thing to have but, they won't compete with gas powered snowmobiles.

Big difference between a 4 stroke that works exactly like a 2 stroke and electric
@joesainato8051
@joesainato8051 7 ай бұрын
No thanks. A small amount of the snowmobile market might adapt but the majority won’t and honestly shouldn’t. 4 stroke was going to be the only thing available and still the 2 stroke is the vast majority of sleds. It’s like electric cars they try and shove them down your throat but yet only sell a small percentage of the auto industry. Maybe they should have looked into hybrid technology.

@@joesainato8051your argument won’t hold for much longer since the Model Y is the best selling car in the world for 2023. The first time ever an electric car has achieved this. Once you go electric you won’t go back. Although that being said definitely will be a long time until we have electric trail sleds operating in remote regions. No doubt about that.
