at #13,000 dollars you are off your freakin rocker. You can buy a 2025 600 etec from ski doo for $14,900 which I gaurantee is 200 times the sled than this crap 400

I found out the hard way last year I can't ride a ski doo... well over 1k later after wrecking my buddies sled into a tree. I couldn't turn that to save my life. I guess it likes foot input. I ride Polaris it likes counter steer input. I was so lost..... took like 13 seconds for me to send it into a tree. The power though...... Jesus Christ. Was like being on a litter bike with boost or bottle, I couldn't hardly grip it.. I've never been in a faster sled, and my axys 850 is boosted!

E tec has to many sensors to go wrong. Not user friendly to work on for the do it yourselfers. Plus premium gas and only brp oil. Needs to keep it simple. Im much happier riding on a Polaris now.

The limits are all the garbage sensors that keep riders home cause not everyone has access to the damn BRP computer. Biggest reason why i switched brands. CAT guy now.

Excellent interview. I have to compliment Frederic and the team at Ski Doo. The engineering of these machines is astonishing. Those of us yhat are old enough to compare them to what was available even 10 years ago can easily see how far they have pushed the performance envelope in a very short time. Amazing machines.

Here we go again. Snowtrax advertising a product which wrecks trails systems EVERYWHERE. All for a buck Mark, AJ, and Luke. 11-16 pounds that you are gonna feel it, and the neighbors are gonna hear and complain. Nothing like some guys sitting down and willing to cut their own throat but have at it. Yes, they sound awesome. However, closures come down to three items 1. speed 2. trespassing 3. sound. three things all controlled by the rider. Which is why they close them as snowmobilers are own worst enemy. there is no defense for this snowtrax, so don't try. Only make you look worse.
@snowtrax6 сағат бұрын
Snowmobilers do buy these products whether you agree with them or not. MBRP makes a great product and aftermarket exhausts aren't illegal everywhere. We advise to check legislation and restrictions where you ride before buying.
@BERGERJeah2 күн бұрын
16 pounds is an impressive weight loss. Would have to ride with it to give it a real test, the weight loss would be fantastic, would be interesting to know the decibels over stock.

If their (mbrp) trail can is as quiet as the the trail can they offered for my old grizzly then it will be loud. I called and asked for a quite core for it bit wad told it is quiet and I was the first to ask. They must be deaf from all the loud mufflers they make. That can was on my bike for less than 20 minutes before the stock unit went back on.
@SuperBigdanno2 күн бұрын
1 and 3 hp?? Go have a dump and it will feel the same but without the noise... I hope. A couple seasons ago I had a new sled with a can go by me and it hurt my ears inside my helmet! Pissed me off immediately and Im a sledder, cant imagine how pissed off the land owners are. All media types need to stop promoting this junk, sleds are fast and powerful enough to get you in trouble without the extra aftermarket junk.

If they made one that was the same noise level as stock and weighed less I’d be interested. Otherwise trails by me have closed due to cans. They should never be louder then stock
@TonySchmidt-t4e3 күн бұрын
You got that right!! I totally agree.
@TheVonMatrices2 күн бұрын
It would never sell though. I have never met an owner of any type of vehicle with an aftermarket exhaust where they didn't say that at least one of the reasons for purchasing the aftermarket exhaust was because of the noise. Marketing can go into all this nuance of people preferring certain exhaust frequencies being suppressed or enhanced rather than overall noise increase but I haven't found any convincing science behind that. However, there is an analogous, well-proven fact in popular music that given the same song, music being played louder (up to a certain point) will receive better reviews. It's why concerts are so loud.

I would put the ability to fit a Muff Pot on these ahead of any performance gains. Thought of buying one just for this reason, but don’t want to get nabbed in Ontario with an aftermarket exhaust.

Can't wait for the day when you can't change the pipe from stock, if you can make them lighter please make them quieter and I would buy one. I think you would sell more to people like me that lives near a trail and can't stand the noise of the after market!

Can you run the trail can in Quebec?
@revrdr600ho3 күн бұрын
It is illigal to modify the exhasut system and ride a snowmobile on Quebec trails. Can you get away with it? Maybe. But legal? No. I don't mess around with it. Not worth ruining a trip over that. They have the ability to detain your vehicle on top of the fine. And I am sure you are not casually riding it out of the woods, likely and expensive recovery of some kind.
@RideFishHunt3 күн бұрын
@revrdr600ho Yeah that's what I thought. All they have to do is pop your hood off and see it's not a stock can.

In my own opinion, where Polaris had it right was the 99 Gen 2 XC-SP 500, the first sled with the Liberty 500 and the fastest 500 Polaris ever built, I think. I'm a cat guy, but that's the one Polaris I own. It's got the power of a 600 and, when clutched right, can run down 700s. Those fox shocks are awesome.
