It's amazing. He didn't have to use falsetto until he hit F5. EDIT: I was wrong. In "Cookies" he sings F5 normally. I'm now convinced he made a deal with the devil for that voice.

Yes. Falsetto is when you break your voice and make it jump up an octave. Men who don't have great range (or don't practice as relentlessly as Dan has) have to do it a lot. Unfortunately it makes your voice sound whiney and breathy, so not a lot of people do it. Amazingly (and fortunately), Dan hardly ever has to.

Isaac from someone who took voice lessions for a few years, he just has that good of a voice. he knows how to sing the most effectively by probably lowering his toung in the back of his mouth and he knows how to deep breath and push air out with his diaphragm. its mostly just knowing how to use talent
