They haven’t had a pass rush dating back to last season. I think that’s why people are concerned. Not just this one game. They looked like the 2023 eagles when the wheels fell off. Carter can’t get pressure and Davis was supposed to be this elite run stopper. They are 2-7 in their last 9 games which is why the panic.

The defense problem starts with the organizational beliefs. They believe in passive defense. They believe in vic fangio scheme which is bend don't break, bring 4 guys. The scheme is the real issue. U need a more aggressive approach now. Jim Johnson, Steve spagnuolo! Sean McDermott! Offense already has all the advantages in NFL game now, u can't afford to play passive.

Two years ago the Eagles had 70 sacks, this year with what I have seen I will be shocked if they reach 30 sacks! I would not mind the limited pass rush if they were stuffing the run but the over 300 yards on the ground shows they cannot stop the run either. They will need to be better in both if this team expects to be in the playoffs!

The key to this season is gonna be the dline, if we fix that and get consistent pressure I think we have what it takes to win the division and make a run. If we can't fix that line, then it's gonna be a long season

I almost always agree with John, he approaches things rationally and is often correct in his assessments. That being said, I don’t agree with him here. The team we saw Monday night is the team we watched fall apart last season. I keep hearing “they can figure things out” but I have seen zero evidence of that. The offensive playcalling seems to have improved, but Hurts, who I think has improved a bit, still cannot stop turning the ball over. The defense on the other hand, is the same atrocious defense we watched a few months ago. Still no pass rush, still no run defense and that pass defense…woof.

I dunno, for the past 2-3 years our defence has gotten way too much hate while our offence gets away with absolute murder. I dunno what it is about the fans, but they don’t want to be honest and talk about how the offence is underperforming way harder than the defence is. Like if we’re being serious for a second, the defence didn’t give up a touchdown to the falcons until the 3rd quarter, and if saquon would have caught the ball at the end of the game, that would have probably been the only touchdown for the falcons. I mean that’s pretty damn good if you ask me. Meanwhile the offence doesn’t do absolutely anything all game and everyone seems to be fine with it. I dunno, I just don’t get it man. Like I said, it’s been this way since the Super Bowl loss. Defence gets all the blame when the offence loses games.

I think you make fairs points but I think it’s worth keeping in mind the offense ranks on top 7 in many categories. No question points are being left on the table, but the offense is not what is losing us games (in this case one). I still believe in the defense, we are #7 in pressure rate which means we are right there, they are just not playing in sync and multiple players stated that after the Falcons game (and again, the stats back up what they are saying). There are no absolutes but I personally have faith this will turn around and if/when it does, it will happen quickly becuase things will just “click.”

If eagles were 2-0 no one is fine!! The defense still has the same issues. They have been HORRIBLE VS THE RUN!! Horrible getting QB pressure. John saids sacks are overated!! Well what about pressure? Hitting a QB ? Making a QB move off his spot? Eagles defense isn't doing any of that!! In two games number 0 has 1 assisted tackle. 1 ! Zero in every other stat. 17 million for that . Huff isn't a good football player. Eagles made a HUGE MISTAKE.

We're really good at missing on our first Rd picks. Good at getting late round gems. But the majority of guys we take in the first Rd are busts. Slay the way he is playing is over paid. Huff is over paid. Jordan Davis bust. Jalen Carter might be a bust. Nolan smith is a bust. It's all bad on defense. Sirriani is the only head coach that doesn't have a role. Fire sirriani. Hire belichek. Let him run the defense and give Kellen Moore full control of the offense

I've said 7-10 before the season but now that won't happen. I'd say they'll get 2 wins against the Giants, 1 against Redskins and 1 against the Panthers. They'll get dog walked all other games
