There is an important story about this song, in cause of which The Voice judges stood up, silently and sadly. In spring 2014 around of hundred Ukrainian protestants were killed by Yanukovich (putin-backed president of Ukraine, who run away after this crime) gunmen and next day these people were buried. Before funeral their bodies were carried through the one million crowd on Maydan Square on the hands and this song was sung this time by The Piccardian Tertsiya quartet ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXjadnWEZsl6fLM ). Since that time the song and the event are joined at people mind
A year later and it looks like theatre.. Have you done your homework yet? I have. “Slava Ukraini” is what the Nazi SS screamed when they took axes to Jewish, Polish, and Soviet civilians nearly a hundred years ago.. Turns out that it’s the U.S. who sponsored the Nazis to begin with and Ukraine is the Reich Wing 2.0. US is basically using Ukraine as a human shield against Russia much like the U.S. backed the Nazis to harm the USSR. I can run the history if you like. It doesn’t bode well for Ukraine, the US, the West, etc..

I don't understand a word that they say but you can feel there emotions when the sing. That last young lady brought tears to my old eyes and the story behind the song explains why they all stood when they did. I hope that the war over there ends soon because it is nothing but a stupid power grab by a power hungry egomaniac who longs for the old days. I say a prayer for the people for they are just pawns and just want to live their lives.

14:12 Although I don't understand a single word, this song is very beautiful and gave me goosebumps. This goes to show that music transcends language. My prayers are with the Ukrainian people.

Ukrainian nation is a bolshevik invention. All ukrainians called themselves russians until the end of WWII. Ukraine is a geographical concept (it means "border (of Russia)"), it has nothing to do with a nation or a people

I cried like a baby with the last singer’s folk song seems so full of emotional enclosure. I sincerely hope that the man made war will be over as so many innocent lives are perishing. Let us make peace and make this world A MUCH BETTER PLACE TOMLIVE😭

The song is greate as was the performance, but the side inscription was absolutely manipulative and dishonest. "The issues were, bla-bla-bla..." People on Maydan were killed by one of the western intelligence services - in order to enrage the crowd against Yanukovich and expel him. And set Ukraine on a collision course with the neighbor.
