The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the show’s newest season. Pop music sensation Nick Jonas reclaims his red chair alongside superstar returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton for Season 20. Carson Daly returns as host. The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition: the Blind Auditions, the Battle Rounds, Knockouts, and the Live Performance Shows. During the Blind Auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not looks. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. The singers with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week. I think they're all great choices tbh. Ariana is one of the biggest artists in the world right now and such a great vocalist. Same with Kelly who won the biggest singing competition herself and has had longevity in the industry. Blake has made many contestants win and John has literally a Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Emmy!

But at the same time I feel like that could make the COMPETITION a little unfair, as arianators are most likely going to storm the televote and favour Ariana's contestants

@@greatcritic1674 yes, but compared to any other coach that has ever been on the show before, she's just on another level in terms of popularity. And to have such a popular coach on a show where the audience plays such a big role in determining the winner just feels kinda unfair. I'm european and that's pretty much the same reason why we never see world-famous popstars taking part in Eurovision, cuz that would be perceived as an unfair advantage for the country they represent. Still, I'm more than pleased to see Ariana on The Voice and I'm sure she'll be a great coach

Didn't use to like her but had never heard her sing without all the production, didn't realize she can really sing. Then came her personality, she seems like a genuine and genuinely nice person. Also perhaps she's not to blame for people mistakenly thinking she was latina. Really excited about this season of the voice. Already love the voice but any opportunity to see more of Ariana's personality is a win. And a much more enjoyable fit for me personally than Jonas lol.

They do give them an huge opportunity to show the world their talent though and if it weren't for the huge named judges no one would watch. More watchers the more people see and hopefully the right ones will help. But I do understand that it would be nice if they supported them more after. Although Blake has supported so many of his team, he's had them come out and sing at his concerts, etc. So no matter what it's a win. I definitely feel like it takes much more than just the voice to get famous as well. Which is a bummer. :)

Next season I’d like to see the male coaches switched out. Kelly Clarkson for me saved this show when she joined and brought so much life to it and I think Ari is a great addition. I’d love to see Shawn Mendez or Bruno Mars or Josh Groban as coaches.
