Shakira said she wanted to be strategic and she was. Since she couldn't keep both she let go of the artist that had the best chance of being stolen....Luke. And Blake was quick to steal him. :) I'm glad for both this was one FANTASTIC song. :)

I am pretty sure the situation was like this. All the other coaches already said, that were are amazed by Luke and they'd all have picked him over Monique. So Shakira was in this situation to save both of them by picking Monique and hoping for the others stealing Luke. (I think she said something like "making a tactical decision", which would be quite tactical to save both of them)
