My idea on void: a three elixir earthquake that out DPSes any cart (building or air) and make your opponent have to predict it or be fast on their fingers (like princess). It it able to two Shot sparky like Lightning (which doesn’t strike twice). So what do I think? This card will settle in, find it’s deck (probable Void cycle), and be nerfed

Imo, i think its balanced. Maybe it could use a slight single target damage nerf but at least it takes more brain to use than fireball or poison

The void does not split itself evenly depending on unit amount. It has a high damage for 1 unit. A med damage for 2-4 units. Or a low damage for 5+ units. That’s why it feels so weak on 2 units or 5. It is much weaker. The best blocks are gonna be getting to 2 or 5 units specifically. It reduces the damage so much. Good players won’t let a single care get hit by the void more then once. You guys are gonna be blocking it all the time cuz it gets the most value with 1 card generally. 4 is pretty good value as well

it’s not even broken, it’s really good against sparky but it can’t even counter goblins. it has a pro and a con i think it’s fine, he put it on skeletons and a tesla and it didn’t even remotely come close to killing the tesla

@@st1lysh35 This is the best balance change they've done in years. nerfing evos across the board was a great idea. Void is also a great spell addition, it doesn't do guaranteed damage mindlessly the way every other spell does, you have to calculate and predict when/where to place it. It is only broken when you use it right, it doesn't even kill skeletons so it's very easy to counter

I think you misunderstood the way the damage-scaling works. It only decreases at 2 and 5 targets by a fixed amount.

With recent updates, I feel like they are introducing cards that destroy control decks Canoneer for miner control and minitanks based archetypes. Dagger Dutchess for logbait + most cheap spammy archetypes. And now with this new spell, I feel like they are trying to bring in the midladder decks into the top ladder. This probably decreases the skill factor, promoting pay to win and ruining the game for everybody. Anyways they can just up the range and decrease some damage to balance it.

i think just making it like 4 elixir or something would balance it just fine, theres no point in a damage nerf or range buff or anything because it really is easy to stop it from demolishing troops it just takes the tiniest bit of brain power, maybe adding something that actually takes brain power to predict and play will finally get rid of all the top ladder people that are only there because they play busted decks like giant and dont actually deserve to be doing well at all, it honestly doesnt feel too unbalanced to me

i feel like this is a spell that we need to wait to be released fully before we can say if its broken, or just good it seems like a "jack of all trades, master of none" kinda card. i mean sure- its the highest damage spell in the game, so i guess its a master of that. but it cant _do_ that much damage if your opponent knows what theyre doing... in theory. in practice, i think we'll have to wait on that but my point is, sure, its good at single target _or_ aoe, but not both. if you wana use it as a high damage card, you cant _also_ hit the tower, or multiple other units. if youre trying to spell cycle to win, you lose the advantage of also taking out cards near the tower. if you wana use it to take out a swarm, minitanks will survive easily. if you wana kill a minitank, you have to avoid killing swarm cards. also, if you wana kill an actual tank, or just deal large damage to it, sure, it _can_ do that but i guarantee you your opponent will become extremely cautious about sending a tank in alone from that point onward. again, it could probably melt off half of a golem's hp, but thats almost always going to be accompanied by a mother witch, and even if theres one bat, the golem suddenly takes over a thousand less damage. my point is, theres a lot of variables and nuance to this card. I saw we let that complexity sit for a while, without an emergency nerf at least, and see what pros can come up with to both use and counter this card. besides, supercell left it in as a feature that this card is counterable in the first place. give pros a chance to figure that out before we start a witch hunt on this thing. and hey, if pros _cant_ figure something out, *then* i say, yeah, nerf it. but just give it a chance.

Fyi sparky can be countered by things like skarmy, skeletons, etc so a 3 for 6 trade is not as uncommon and op as people think.

Honestly I find it balance. Obviously it’s broken one it comes to hitting one unit, but this gets other deck chances to win against decks that hard counter it. For example I use rg fireball bait, with lava you have to worry about inferno dragon that kills it. No need to worry, then you can use fireball for the barbs and you have a better chance of winning. See what I mean.

@@serenestefan1102Just the threat of the void alone will force protection of any mid cost card, and swarm decks aren't purely swarm; they also rely on a building, beatdown counters, etc. And in the case of a smother, lets not pretend anyone will be running void as the sole spell. More the matter, consider how many win conditions rely on a troop going in. Hog is now getting slammed by 3 elixir. Something to tank and split the damage? Duchess still exists. What about a beatdown deck, which usually runs swarm counters? Usually a mid pull and stall, until they void your building. But it's okay, because you're running void too and can snipe the support without too high of a cost before it builds up too much.. oh wait. If void is going to have such a prevalence and requirement, that means it's OP.

Edit: to fully clarify, the reason the card is op is that it forces out elixir when you play it. If it was a 4 elixir spell, I think it'd be much more balanced, if not straying on the lower end.
