if you want to get more sharp/crisp logo from the stencil, spray or paint the stencil with the color you have underneath. the paint will fill the "gaps" and when you then apply black coat it will only follow the intended stencil lines and come out more crisp.

Great video! Is there a reason why you paint it instead of coloring the resin?

Looks like he is using a fiberglass bondo repair kit. I used the same for a small boat once and it looks just like this. I imagine he didn't want to color the resin that comes in the lit for fear of ruining it.

Nice work! One question, which density for the pur foam would you suggest? 80kg/m³, 100kg/m³ or 120kg/m³?

Hi, The quality of you volumes seems really good. I want to try to DIY one for my homemade wall. What weight is the fibreglass you are using ? 450g 600g ? How many layers do you need to have something strong enough? And two last question: What is the glue you are using to bind the sand? What kind of paint are you using for the final layer ? Cheers

They don't seem to be answering any questions on here sadly. I would love to know the same. Did you find any answers yet? Thanks

To be quite honest, I was actually really underwhelmed with the final result in this video, and I think I'd be pissed if I paid money for a volume like this. The surface is super lumpy throughout. I'm wondering how the big companies avoid stuff like this. Thicker layers and more intense sanding perhaps? May be a bit dangerous to sand fiberglass though...

@@CtHtThomas you definitely don't want to breath the dust from fiberglass but you can definitely sand it as smooth as you want with a respirator on.
@brunodm15733 жыл бұрын
@@CtHtThomas Same here, it still is a nice result. But if you compare it to fibreglass volumes from BluePill, Xcult, Cheetah, Bleaustone, ... I have been searching a lot about it but it's quite hard to find any information about it. I think there will need to be a lot of testing if I want to make them myself. XD

@@brunodm1573 I tried making something like this video. Turned out ok but not great. The fibreglass was tough to lay down around corners without bunching up. And even after sanding, I get lines/ridges between the overlay of sheets of glass.

I think maybe you should spend more time on shaping the foam.
