Toganmain Woolshed once saw more than 200 thousand sheep shorn by 92 blade shearers in a single shearing contract.
But this massive old structure in southern New South Wales is crumbling.
It hasn't seen a sheep in years and is one big windstorm away from being blown away.
As Landline's Tim Lee reports that hasn't deterred a band of volunteers determined to preserve and restore it.

I visited there in 1962, at shearing time. The inside does not look too much different!

Wow 🤩 this is amazing. Our family are pastoralists from way out past Cobar since the 1880’s. Our shed had 56 shearer’s at its height. Back when it was pound for pound. Great, great grandpa died in the late 1950’s, G great nan sold all the stock and stayed on with a ladies maid and a stockman until the late 1980’s. Great nan, (gg grandpas daughter - my great nan) drove the cooks dray from age 12. At 14 she was head cook. She moved stock for 35 years. The whole property, everything, is National Trust. Everything. Including any rubbish. Can’t touch a single thing. Containment is all that can be done.

My dad shore sheep all over outback NSW, Qld & possibly Victoria for over 40 years. Unsure if he worked in this shed though.
