I have had the same experience, both irl and in a dream. Irl, I hit my head after a seizure. Lost my ability to understand English and recognizing people in my life. One of my church group members was forewarned about this but did not believe them until she came into the ward herself and had to explain herself to me like we just met. I was surprised I actually made a short film too when I regained that memory.

No offense but if you didn’t understand English then how did anyone communicate with you and vice versa? If you don’t mind me asking. Would you post the short film that you made and reply to my comment with the link? I would love to watch it. Fascinating. How the brain works. I’ve always had a simulation fear and interest with what it would be like to suddenly forget your life and or have your personality drastically change as well etc. I’m glad that you recovered including your memories too🙏🏻 Thank you for sharing🙏🏻
