The VR5 Savoy Is Back! ( Still A Demon Car Lol )

Been awhile since weve seen the Savoy! But im on a mini vacation and have some time to spend with the car. Got a few things id like to try and fix on it while im here and there just cruise around and enjoy it!

Your lock unlock wires on driver's door for the Sentral lock are disconnected/loss check those first. I love that car dude nice work

Yo those pumps in the back are a magnet for water & moisture. That's why they often fail. If the pump fails again, take the bottom cover off and check the circuit board for signs of past moisture. Also, they tend to get stuck in a state where they constantly pump, heating up rapidly...

10 years back i was hearing alot about gas tanks being pinched by thieves to steal gas, yours reminds me of exactly that. It happened to my brother in law in the exactly the same spot as yours and only noticed at the gas station when he was filling up and the gas started pouring on the floor. Maybe same thing happend to yours who knows... Anyway love the savoy, i'm struggling not to buy another mk3 every time i see yours :))) someday i'll get another but now i have other priorities

Check the wiring sock between your door and door jam, opening and closing makes the wiring bad over time, happens a lot to Mk4's also with the hatch wiring.

As og as miley is out of all the cars the savoy is my favourite by far just the colour and the wheel combo. Would have been cool to have a VR6 in it but the vr5 sounds cool

@ mir smith: another cool video. The hole in the tank is really blatant. 😳I've never seen that either. I have petrol tanks from the mk3 there .😉. Do you want one? For the headliner, I can recommend a very good adhesive that can withstand heat. It is called bostik 1513.👌😉

is your steering rack centered? the threads on each side should be pretty much even at each tie rod. if not, you should do that and then take off steering wheel and center it. and then if needed you can adjust at your tie rods

the petrol tank is pressurized aswell as the fuel lines..so you loosing pressure and sucking air through that hole in the petrol tank..thats why its not going

It probably isnt slower than it should.....mine feels that way too....on the other hand my vacuum line to the flaps is made out of pvc hose right now....so maybe i should fix thatXD

The vr5 looks much more user friendly than the inline 5 in my MK6, there is no room to do anything easily to my car especially the belts
