Well you seem to have the right tools, I hear TIG is the best for body panels! What's the name of the grey thing you used to make the patch? Is it a hand metal brake? I might need to get one.

I have heard the same for TIG, the gray tool is a flashing bender it is not really meant for as thick of metal as I am using it for but it has worked in a pinch.

SVs Auto oh cool, I’ll probably get one.

Get some brad drills. Way better than the American version of a spot weld drill that you used.

What company makes them you have sparked my curiosity.

Here's one place I found but plenty out there. Plus find the cobalt variety as they last much better than the HSS ones. There are many companies in UK and Europe that make these. www.ukdrills.com/hss-drills/spot-weld?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1rvXtN7r2gIVlAsrCh0KdQX4EAAYAiAAEgKUE_D_BwE

Why did you tig weld part of the sheet metal and mig weld part
@SVsAuto6 жыл бұрын
Rick Fox, My tig skills are not there yet. So the gap that I had I decided to fill with a mig as I am better at that type of welding. Would like to tig everything as from what I know, it is easier to grind, hammer and dolly then mig. I am hoping to improve my skills.

I like them so far, however I have never owned either before so I don't have much of a frame of reference. I just put 240 into my shop so I have been running them on the 110 setting, excited to try them on proper voltage. It is always good to see how someone goes about there work. Thanks for the support!
