The lupo has various size engines. 1.0 as well. 1.4 16v had 2 variants. Normal version, and a sport version. The sport version had a 254 intake cam. Then you get the lupo gti, which has a zippy 1.6 16v engine producing 125hp, which revs until 7000rpm.

That Mk3 came from Jersey which is off the coast of France but is a UK territory, the speed limit is max 40mph everywhere! It’s a small island too So that car will have had an easy life! Derek Warwick who owns the dealership it came from is an ex British touring car driver too 😎

Biggest engine in the Lupo is the 1.7 SDI, which is also the slowest lol. They did a 1.6 16v GTi version aswell with 125bhp. That green one is the 1.4 16v with 75 bhp, there's a 101bhp 1.4 16v aswell. They also came with a 1.4 8v with 60 bhp and the smallest 1.0 50bhp (I had the old Skoda engine in my first 1.0 Lupo and the later 1.0 MPI in my black Lupo) Lupo content is awesome, a lot of MK3 and MK4 mods can be done to it

That lupo is the 74bhp version. They did a lupo sport with 100bhp (I currently have one) 1.4l as well but different engine code, there was also a lupo GTI, which came with a 1.6l and 125bhp.

The blue Golf in the UK market was called a Colour (with the 'U') Concept, towards the end of the MK3 life. You could buy them in Yellow, Green, Blue and I think red , and fitted with Recaro seats The VR6 HIghline models could be got in black or a mulberry/purple but they came without the Recaro's just standard seats with the squib either black or purple and matching door cards.

Ive had one, a silver open air (folding cabrio top) loved the car. 15" bbs rs 7" front 8" in the back. Look for a lupo 3L stearing wheel

The lupo in UK came in 1.0, 1.4 16v 75hp, 1.4 16v sport 100hp with centre exit exhaust and then the lupo gti 1.6 125bhp with alloy bonnet and wider arches. There was a diesel 1.7 sdi. Also seat made the same car with exception of the gti that was a Arosa Tbh probably rarer but less sort after.

i have a 1999 lupo 1.4 16v in the uk, its awesome, doing some mods to make it quicker soon, they can get to around 110hp with little effort, just an aftermarket backbox, intake manifold from the 1.6 16v 125hp engine and a bigger throttle body, also everyone in the uk loves a lupo too, they're awesome little things

I think the fuel gage is showing the wrong way. When it was empty, it shows full and when you filled it up, it actually showed empty.

The Lupos are pretty good for what they are, actually I was considering one as a first car and almost went to look at a Fox (the Lupo successor, around the Mk5 era) as I wanted a Mk4 Golf but couldn't afford the insurance as car insurance in the UK is horrendous. Instead, I went for a Ford Fiesta, which I've had for almost 4 years now. Though I've seen a few nice Lupo examples, including some Lupo GTIs. Also I was meant to post on the previous video and it's going to be a somewhat long one so please prepare yourself: Congratulations on reaching 50k subs, you really deserve it dude. I've been watching your videos since around the summer of 2019 back when you were in Karlsruhe and honestly thank you for the videos, they've been really fun to watch over the years. Personally I'm more of a gamer than a mechanic but I've always liked cars and car culture as well, I'm a Fiesta enjoyer (Mk3s in particular) and have a soft spot for Golfs too, I really liked watching through the project builds like the Savoy and Pink Floyd to name some. But yeah, it's been a real pleasure seeing you progress over the years and hope to see more :)

Apart from the 1.4 FSI and 105 horses, there was the GTI with 1.6 and 125 horses and over 125 mph top speed. ☺ The Seat Arosa came first but best engine configurations where exclusive to the higher tear brand VW. @15:42 It is based on the Polo but was still the cheapest type of car in the lineup.

The biggest engine you can get in a Lupo is the Gti, it’s a 1.6 Gti (same as the polo) i have a 2001 Moon silver one on my drive Great little car, 125bhp centre exit twin exhaust, xenon headlamps, aluminium bonnet wings & doors Goes like stink for a little car, it’s like a mini version of a Mk5 R32

I definitely want a lupo but for now I want to do the opposite! I’m going in may to Japan to propose to my ex girlfriend and I want to drive my Scion FRS when I’m there so I’m looking for someone who can import and export my car back to me after my trip in Japan! I know that as long as I don’t sell or transfer ownership I don’t pay import taxes and similar fees on the car but am not sure about shipping and the time it taxes to do so!

Small engine VWs absolutely love the revs😂😂my Polo has a 1.2 12v and loves to be revved. Ehen my mum drives it she shifts at 2k but it likes to go up to 4k or even 5k which is where I shift it's also where the power is

Polos don't seem to have much interest in the US as far as the regular public go VW did try to bring it across to the US there was rumours of the mk4 Polo ( made from 2002-2005 then facelifted from 2005-2009 I have a 2009) coming to the US but there wasn't enough interest over the VW models already sold there

@@christopherwilliams9418 yep it's a serious issue. Made worse by the fact the US has a 25 year wait to import anything too. Here in the UK we can just import anything even if it's brand new we just have to pay the import tax and shipping and the fee to register it. Big cars are also a problem here SUVs are increasingly common and it's got to the point that many multi storey car parks could crumble to the ground because of the weight of if the cars nowadays. A lot of them don't even fit in the spaces anymore cos the car parks were designed in the 70s and cars were much lighter and smaller then. the Polo and golf will actually be discontinued in 2 years time and the VW Up! The lupos successor and the ford fiesta was also discontinued this year. Small cars are very hard to find in new models
