In Greek mythology, Prometheus stole fire, the element of craftsmanship, and gave it to the humans. Zeus, the new king, could not let this go unpunished. Not only had Prometheus stolen something so precious to him, but he chose to love men over his own kin, the gods. For his betrayal, Zeus Amalthea commissioned Hephaestus, god of the forge, to craft the means to punish poor Prometheus. Kind-hearted Hephaestus was grieved, for he had to torment a fellow god. But the rule of Zeus was absolute, and he reluctantly bound Prometheus to a rock, and shackled his hands to a CDI controller. He was forced to play The Wacky World of Miniature Golf, day and night, restlessly. Every stroke he took seemed to be futile. Success coming without rhyme or reason. In the midst of his despair, he called out "Mother Gaia! Look at how they bound your poor son! How they have turned against their own!" But, there was nothing to save lowly Prometheus.

Ok, so I got morbidly curious and looked up a walkthrough for this game. I found ONE. It consists of a list of directional inputs with a description of which frame of animation to click them on. Them's your core gameplay mechanics. Noice!

It’s closer to 8 or 12 frames. Choppy animation never the less. It is the bare minimum in order to create the illusion of movement.

The game itself will run at either 60 or 30 FPS roughly. Animation on the other hand could be running at any frame rate, although animations commonly run at around 12-15 FPS

Okay, here goes nothing: Changing the direction you hit the ball, changes the timing needed. So, if you want to get a hole in 1 in the Holey Grail course: - Aim Right - Wait for the door to come down, then wait another second, and press the button to shoot JUST right when the door starts to come back up.

Food for thought: if enough people have played this game, inevitably there is someone who got a hole-in-one on every hole for their first playthrough and went "huh, that was easy," and never played again.

I don't think you can get hole in ones, the game seems programmed to only let certain moves work, and when they do work the ball goes to a preset place. There is a minimum stroke per hole, but it's not one.

Man, this was my favourite Grumps series, and I rewatch it every few months, and it saddens me that they never did the last 5 holes. All they had to do was give up on the 13th hole when they hit the stroke limit, and the game would've taken them to the next hole. Really wanted to hear their reaction of the Golf War hole.
