THE WAGAH BORDER CEREMONY: New Zealand family travelling in Pakistan with kids!

Pakistan Zindabad! What an amazing experience the Wagah Border Ceremony is! We didn't expect the energy and atmosphere quite like that!
The closest thing we could compare it to (as New Zealanders!) would be the energy of a rugby match. The pride and passion from both sides is totally contagious and you can't help but get right into the spirit of things and wave that flat and chant along in support! We would highly recommend the border ceremony (on either side) as a must-do experience in Lahore or Amritsar.

If you ever get the chance, try to see this ceremony from the Indian side. A lot more people, so far more raucous (who can shout the loudest!), and people dancing to Bollywood tunes, before the flag ceremony. Otherwise, Indians and Pakistanis are the same people, with a lot of friendly rivalry.

Hey man they are white like me, but many of us have some Maori blood in us, overall the white ppl of my country New Zealand are not like other western ppl, we are different, Maori and NZ white has closer relations compared to America, UK or Australia, we don't consider our selves western we hate that term, hope that helps.
