Hi Christopher, well said. I was on one of those people who judged a book by its cover And was unaware of it. Then one day on my daily walks, talking to the Lord as I used this time to pray and talk to the Lord. I had asked the Lord why people were so critical not really expecting an answer… After a while a I heard this, it was like a thought but I have learned these thoughts are the voice of the Lord… The answer was this… I to was guilty of judging people. The he said people judged with their eyes, instead of our hearts. We need to look at a person with our hearts and not our eyes. I asked the Lord what this meant… What it meant was instead of quickly judging a person, we need to look past what we see with our eyes, and ask with our hearts instead…. what happened in this persons life to make them this way? This is when I began questioning what had happened to a person in their life, what caused them… to be so angry… bitter… not care for themselves etc. Once I began to question and look past the cover with my eyes, and look with my heart…. I was able to see them differently, with compassion and empathy. It was then I decided to befriended the person, and became a support, a help for them in what ever way possible. Even if it was just to listen to them, then comfort and guide them to a solution to make things better for them. It not only transformed me, but it me to help the person get past their bitterness, help them take back their lives.
