Hi - are you using sounds from a purchased soundbank for all these 80s hits or editing on the Triton yourself - sounding great !
@galtem Жыл бұрын
Thank you! They're all internal sound combinations from the Triton.

@@galtem Impressive - I had a Triton years ago and always regretted selling it - I might invest in the 61 note some day

Nive cover as always! Can u you play Trust? 😊

Thank you :-) Sorry, no, we never played that one. I've been wanting to do A Letter to Elise though; the keys were really pretty in that one, and we didn't play it very often. But we knew that one plus High, Edge of the Deep Green Sea, and Friday I'm in Love from that album.

The main synth riff is deceptively easy (didn't Lol write it?). The piano bit is deceptively hard (I'm guessing Robert?)

yeah, I've got no idea who wrote what parts - The Cure's synth parts in general are pretty simple, same with the guitar parts actually -- it's all about the layers and effects. To me that's part of their genius; anybody can write something bizarre, but it's tough to write something new AND simple AND catchy, and they've managed to for decades. :-)
@chriswilks59073 жыл бұрын
@@galtem Yeah The Lovecats for example is literally just going up and down the keys. But like you say the songs are so catchy and that's what makes them genius.

how are you changing programs so seamlessly ?
@galtem3 жыл бұрын
Magic :-) Just kidding -- i split the keyboard up into sections, then program the sounds i want in those sections; so I'm not switching between sounds, they are already there.
