This is the show’s first midseason finale (ever season after s1 is split into a part A and B,) and they made sure this one hit! Shane’s freakout (he wasn’t completely wrong…just going about his point in the WORST way possible 😂) and Sophia walking out the barn are absolutely iconic 🙏🏾

Good to know! This episode felt like a finale. You're right, Shane wasn't wrong. But I hated how he had no regard for Hershel's wishes. And to find out Sophia was in there. Heartbreaking.

They stopped shooting because they were shocked, lol. That's a little girl, one that they were hoping was still alive. So yeah, it took a minute to sink in...but Rick stepped up, like always.

I do agree that it’s Hershel’s farm and they don’t have a right to tell him what to do! However he’s obviously misguided and doesn’t realise the very real threat! Shane just goes about things all the wrong way 😅 The “enough” scene is one of my all time favourites of the show, along with this whole episode! Amazing acting from everyone and so well done! Greatest show ever! 🧟♀️

Rick is being considerate you have to see from his point of view, he wasn’t butting into Hershel’s business like everyone else, he repeatedly told everyone that they have to follow Hershel’s rules

One of the saddest episodes in the entire series. Seeing Walker Sophia walk out of that barn and Daryl holding back a devastated Carol is heartbreaking. Rick putting Sophia down makes me cry every time I see it.

Seeing Hershels side of things is idiotic and unsafe. He was putting everyone including his own family in danger with that barn. he had to learn they were dangerous and dead. Not alive and sick. He compared it to AIDS for gods sake.
@AtypicalReactions7 ай бұрын
@brittanylewandowski6200 but also, people act like Rick and his group just showed up and saved the day. Didn't Rick show up with a shot son that got saved by Hershel. Also, is having a baby a smart move at this time. I'm gonna say no. Nobody has to be idiotic. It's just people adjusting and doing the best they can under insane circumstances.
@kurlykyrie7 ай бұрын
I get it was Hershel’s land, but the main point is that walkers are dangerous. If they didn’t shoot the walkers coming out of the barn, what could they have done? They would have eaten them (Hershel’s people included), so they protected them. & Even if Rick’s people left, eventually one of Hershel’s family members would’ve end up dead. Hershel had his ways & beliefs, but they were ignorant beliefs only bc he hasn’t experienced what was REALLY going on in the world outside his land. It was like they were in a bubble. So yes, at the end, Shane definitely went about it the wrong way, however he wasn’t wrong in what needed to be done which was get rid of the zombies. However, Shane has to go too bc he’s psycho 🤣🤣
@AtypicalReactions7 ай бұрын
You're right. You can't store walkers in a barn. It's dangerous. If they were to get out, they would all be dead. Hershel has to realize that his loved ones are gone. But the way Shane went about it was wrong. You can't talk or reason with him. Shane is going to do what he wants to do.

@@AtypicalReactionsI think the way shane went about it was not at all wrong . They’ve been ignoring him the entire time about it. So the way to make them listen was to MAKE THEM LISTEN. I thank him for that because he gave them a reality check. It’s tough love. You can tell he cares because when Sofia came out his head went down. At the same time tho ever since then Hershel has been living in reality & surviving . All of them. Shane was indeed crazy😂 but that type of crazy was absolutely NEEDED for the group at this time. He said nothing wrong & did nothing wrong .

I understand Hershel being annoyed with strangers on his property, becoming too comfortable. However, he is naive. The barn will eventually be too full and get over run. This will lead to the death of his family. His daughter Beth walked up to her mother and was almost killed because Hershel couldn't see they were dead and dangerous. Not having weapons on the property was the perfect time to practice killing with knives. Shane is a hot head, but he's not wrong about the barn being dangerous. They've just been lucky so far. They need Rick as the leader because he is willing to act in the moment when necessary, but his willingness to find a solution to benefit everyone is an asset. He's not just out for whatever is best for his family. He wants what's best for everyone.
@_LexiMae7 ай бұрын
The most ironic part of this whole episode is Rick was the only one who had the balls to shoot Sophia in the head. Yes, they were all in shock, but considering how much Shane talks about his ability to keep Lori and Carl safe and about how they needed to kill all the walkers in the barn, you'd think he wouldn't have hesitated to pull the trigger. The truth is, if it weren't for Rick, they wouldn't have made it this far. There are a lot of people who claim Shane is right, but it pays to have some humility at times, which we all know Shane is not capable of. Just because Rick had a different approach doesn't mean he's wrong.
@AtypicalReactions7 ай бұрын
It was that very moment that solidified Rick as the leader for me.
@brittanylewandowski62007 ай бұрын
Shane was right and shane has a lot of humanity. Saying he doesn't is just stupid. Rick wouldn't even be alive if not for Shane. The zombies at the hospital would have eaten him if not for Shane.

@@brittanylewandowski6200 puh-leeze don't make me laugh...Shane only cares about himself. Rick is alive because of pure luck. Agree, even here in 2024, there are A LOT of people that believe their "Entitled" . Like the law or rules don't apply to them. When they make a mistake, they get mad and blame everyone but themselves. I could give examples, but the list is to long. Very frustrating and annoying to witness EVERY day. 😢 Shane is a "loose cannon" and mentally unstable. I would have encouraged him to move on or he would have had a "hunting" accident with Daryl. 😒🙊🙉🙈

But to be fair id do the same thing as shane the exact same way imagine u have everyone in ur group hate u and they think ur a monster and that includes ur best friend. Not to mention the women he loves and yes it was screwed up what he did behind ricks back but its just as much of loris fault as it is shanes also the CDC thing was unacceptable and shane is crazy for that but i mean hes losing his mind because everyone treats him like dirt when hes done more for the group then anyone and his kid isn't his

Hello 👋 Another awesome video, 👍👍 I personally think since Lori and Rick (if he agrees with Lori, since he did not say anything to the contrary when Lori says it), have no way of knowing who the father is, they should be adult enough to have Rick and Shane share fatherhood, with her telling him even if it is his, it is not going to be his, was wrong on so many levels and with how Shane has been acting a bit more psychotic by the day this could have quite a negative affect, If they did choose the father sharing option, it just might settle him down knowing he did not lose everything or….. it could still backfire, with that said, Lori did not tell Rick everything, she left out the part about Shane trying to rape her at the CDC, which is another strike against him. My only ‘what the h***’ moment, is how Shane continues to think he is the big man on campus and just had to open that barn up, but was not man enough to finish the job when Sophia walked out, Rick being a real man had to do it for him, 😏 Part of me wishes Dale had shot Shane, the other is glad he remained true to his beliefs, 🙂 RIP Sophia, 😪 On to the next one, 👍🙂
