You know what always gets me? It's not the actual impact of the bat. It's the SOUND of the impact the bat makes. We all know it's obviously a fake bat IRL but the loud THUD and squish really drove the point home and made it feel so real ... and painful. That's what always freaks me out. Ronald Jr Negan didn't kill for revenge, though. Negan killed because he simply could, and to establish fear so he could control Rick's group. he's got a lot of settlements under his control, and he uses the exact same tactic: kill one person from every group, and anyone else who is innocent if someone gets out of line to make an example of them and cause the resistance to fear too. He didn't have any emotional ties with the people who were killed, they were just people he pulled out of other settlements/colonies in his control. they were just pawns to Negan, and are easily replaced. Negan simply killed simply to control, not to avenge.

Negan's feeds on what makes others tick to gain control, and he's a sociopath because he absolutely loves watching people suffer - not just Rick's but even his own. You can see it in his face. He knew forcing Rick to chop his own son's arm off would break Rick. He's a legitimate sicko on the show who not only enjoys killing and torturing his enemies physically and emotionally, but he seems to very much enjoy breaking their spirits as well. He's devoid of true emotions, but he figures out how to use others' vulnerabilities and emotions against them.

Abraham waa my favourite character, but I didn't remember what he did as much as what Glenn did. Glenn was basically Rick's best friend, nd this is basically soul shattering. someone ruined the twist for me by posting the picture of Glenn's prosthetics onto reddit, so I guessed he was gonna die. I would've cried harder if abraham died with Rosita, or if Maggie died alongside Glenn.

more character development. Negan created brutal monsters this day, these aren't typical everyday people like he's been dealing with, these guys are survivors and went through too much to let some coward behind a posse and a bat stop them. Daryl is going to want blood, Rick is going to snap Carol is going to probably bring an army Now Maggie lost everything, her family and now Glenn and she was expecting a child, never fuck with a mom and her family.
