Andy's reaction on 4:12 is so sweet. It's like he is saying he is so proud of her!

Omg! love AL's reaction. he's sooo behind everything Danai has to say. She's a wonderful representation of women and bw. love her and him.

He's totally adorable. Wish he had gotten to speak on it, though.

Hey, I know your main focus is richonne and I thought your question was well put together but lets not forget richonne werent the only interracial couple attack. There were terrible things said about sasha when abe left rosita for her. I wish you are someone would have asked SMG or MC how did they fight off the haters with that? I mean Sasha is a lightskinned woman who happens to be beautiful and still got attacked on her looks. I guess it really doesnt matter rather your dark, brown or lightskined; racists will still see you as undesirable.

Oh, I understand. The things said about Michonnewere straight evil and uncalled for but I knew she would get that kinda backlash once they put her with rick. I just knew they would attack her like that, that is why I was kinda hoping richonne didnt happen because i didnt want Dania or her character to be attacked but now that its happen its good lesson to the haters. I find it interesting that SG wasnt aware of the attacks made on Richonne. I dont think DG was aware either. SMG wasnt called nearly all the nasty things DG were called but as soon as they had Abe leave rosita for her, she got attacked.

I am a black disabled woman, and when have I ever seen an image of a strong disabled black woman, dark skin or otherwise? Let's try never ever. So this whole light skin dark skin debate falls on deaf ears with me. Because I have never seen a black woman in a wheelchair in any moves, tv shows, stage plays, nothing. So I'm sorry I would like to feel sympathy for the cause, I just can't, not until all woman are included.

Tbh I don't think that was the right place for such speeches and questions. But that's just how I feel.
@JillRobi7 жыл бұрын
Well, the cast and Gimple and Hardwick liked it, so, there's that.

Jill Robi you're talking like they would actually admit it if they didn't. they answered the question and talked about it, of course, what were they supposed to do? But imo it's not the right place to talk stuff like that. It's just a comic con... people want to focus on the info about the show... that's what they're watching it for. but again that's just what I feel.

And I felt the need to bring it up. I spent my money and slept out for my spot in line. And you can see by their faces that they aren't put out--that's why I'm sharing it. You get to see their reactions. Additionally, I spoke to Danai one on one after the panel. I was commended for my question all weekend by both people in the industry and fans. But hey, if you don't like it, it's your right not to.

Jill Robi omg, what did you, danai and Andrew speak about? also, don't listen or even entertain people like the above, they like to silence people out of their own discomfort. I commend you for asking such a thought provoking question, it was definitely the right place, seeing as how its a panel and all, smh.

Thank you! Oh I only got to talk to Danai, not Andy (yet): jillrobisfangirl.us/from-michonne-to-danai-a-fangirls-journey/

Well in the zombe whatever, what happens to the disabled population? I would love to ask that question and see what that answer might bring. As always people with disabilities are left out of the picture.
@denicehopkins13157 жыл бұрын
I think someone should research how people with disabilities are portrayed in the media. I think it might be a real eye opener to learn that the image of the disabled is much worst then the image of black people in the media. I just started watching TWD,and I truly love it, except when Neacon makes fun of Carl eye, not cool. As a disability rights advocate I will always speak out when I see the way disabled people are treated in the media. Show less
@ms.bubs4fun5067 жыл бұрын
That was a little cringey because the actors probably didn't want to talk about race issues at a fun event and it kinda put them on the spot. But, Danai did a good job tackling the issue.

If I'm going to be honest. It came off as thou black women are desperate to be validated. And I feel we don't need a show to do that for us. Yes there are racist people. But they aren't the majority. So it shouldn't matter what they have to say about an interracial tv couple. Idk. The question was very awkward to me.
@JillRobi6 жыл бұрын
You'd be in the minority. Most black women, or at least the ones I've spoken to, and even Danai in her response to my question, understand the need of such a validation, as for too long black women, particularly darker black women, have been looked at as less than. And in terms of entertainment, well, the representation as a whole in that respect, as a love interest, is next to non-existent. I was applauding Gimple & Co. for their contribution, accidental or not.
