Hot take here, i prefer the ending of the comics alot more then the show due to the fact that the comics actually concluded. The show feels like a never ending mess

Comics > AMC series The show just beats that dead horse especially branching off several spin-offs like they did. The comic had an actual ending

I think Kirkman wanted people to think that Rick wouldn’t die from the gunshot, but he actually did it. Sebastian killed Rick.

That cliffhanger was pretty captivating. I bet every fan of the comics expected Rick or someone beating that brats ass. Then its Rick's death and Carl putting him down. I was fucking devastated tbh😂 however still good story writing

The Color really tell the story better plus kirkman's Extras are awesome the Rick cliffhanger I hated it just seemed like Robert Kirkman was sick of writing Rick Grimes got killed by a little b**** like Sebastian!!!

An offensive one that I can remember is ending one issue with Negan telling Rick “Wait till you see what I did to your boy”, and then revealing in the beginning of the next issue that he did literally nothing to Carl. That cliffhanger was completely purposeless and unnecessary to the plot.

It was scary and hella worrying but I see it as Negan wanted that. He wanted to break Rick and get in his head. However he didnt want to be the big bad guy he portrayed himself as.

if you read issue by issue it makes sense, but if you read volumes or books it is noticeable and a bit strange, I think Rick's death made sense because they did the dummy covers for issue 194 and 195 so people really weren't expecting it. Last note, he's said before that the one thing he would legitimately change was cutting Ricks hand off, because of the situations he survives it make it less realistic

My predictions for the new season of Daryl and Carol show will bring Laurent and Isabelle to Spain with her dying sacrifice herself for Laurent in the mid season finale with the series ending would end on a cliffhanger of an older Laurent killing Rick grimes because he thinks it’s a walker in the fog. That’s when we would get the reunion 😂😂😂. MIC DROP 🎤

This reminds me of the cliffhanger when Rex Plode is held at gunpoint in Invincible season 2 and then just gets shot in the next episode. However i think it subverted expectations because you thought he would be saved as thats what usually happens after a cliffhanger. So i actually didn't mind what they did with Rick here. It was surprising and shocking
