The only reason why Glenn died was that it was Daryl that punched Negan, which Negan decided to kill Glenn as punishment.

Glenn's death in the comic is very emotional and tragic. I'll never forget the first time I read it and hoping that someone would step in and save him, but unfortunately no. I feel so sorry for Glenn, he didn't deserve this, just like anyone else.

@@boboclanman No you definitely can it looked like it though in the show to 🤷‍♂️ , i promise you it honestly looks like you can see his face not even attached anymore with the eye still in its socket and nose below it and what i believe is the lower jaw underneath watch the scene and rotate your screen and look under the eye socket and you’ll literally see half his face with his nose and what looks like part of the lower jaw underneath, took me years to see until i took a screen shot of him on the ground after negan is done using lucille and rotate the picture or look at it from the side. It’s honestly the most disturbing thing i’ve ever seen, i guarantee they went this far in the show couldn’t believe how graphic it was.

Glenn’s death really broke my heart it was the most brutal death I’ve ever seen in the show but I did not knew The Walking Dead had a comic I did not even read the comic I’ve only seen images in safari but to be very honest the show of the walking dead Glenn’s death was brutal but the comic for me is way more brutal and it’s so very disturbing to look at like I did not even knew that in the comic Negan would smash Glenn’s mouth it looks so very disturbing than the eye and I wonder what would be like if it was in the show

In the tv show what part of glenn’s head was still attached to his body? Because if you rotate you screen you can see his eye and half of his upper face barely connected to his head and his lower jaw i believe right beneath it so that makes me wonder what part of his head was even connected to the body because it looked like there was quite a bit of hair still intact? But i just can’t tell how much of the head was intact, although the guy who did the make up said they used a turtle neck looking head when glenn’s actor was laying on the ground twitching, it was actually the actor lying with his face in a hole in the ground and they said they used this turtle neck crushed head cover the back of his real head, but i just can’t picture what the prop head would look like… any ideas?

Way before,TWD show was entirely based off the comics,while they maintain a similar core structure towards each major arc they both have entirely different story lines and characters,making it very worth reading. For example,the line up in the comics is smaller and even Heath is there (black guy with glasses who disappeared entirely from the show and never came back due to some irl stuff) and hes a great character from the moment hes introduced and has a nice dynamic with Glenn. If i recall correctly,back when this comic arc called "something to fear" started and ended with issue #100 (which was such a cool number to introduce Negan),the show was either finishing airing season 4 at terminus (because when they were lined up to be killed by Gareths group one of them was using a bat and Glenn was next in line so a lot of people thought he was going to die there like in the comics) or at the first couple episodes of season 5 because i remember when they went to Noah's neighbourhood and we are shown graffitti that says "wolves are coming" people thought it was teasing Negan and the saviours and the show was going to adapt them differently. Interestingly enough,the wolves are in a weird way a reimagined and frankly better version of a group of scavengers that show up and try to attack Alexandria and fail miserably but ironically,end up starting the "no way out" arc on which they get invaded by a mega herd of walkers (really cool arc in the comics,last enough to not feel short lived but dosnt overstay its welcome and has some cool moments that got vaguely adapted in season 6),in comparison to the show where the wolves are teased and appear briefly at the end of season 5 only to mess up Rick's plan to re direct the mega herd of walkers away by attacking them and destroying the walls of Alexandria on season 6.

Why did people feel bad about Glenn when he died exactly as he was supposed to? I don't get it. The show was based on a comic book, so it makes sense that it stays true to the comic. The one death that truly doesn't make any sense is Carl's.

by that point in the story the TV series and the comic had nothing to do with each other, at least they could have made glenn live a little longer, like they did with shane. Besides, many people didn't know that TWD had a comic book, so they didn't expect that death.
