I think a lot of people will probably agree with me on this that this episode that Samantha Morton and Ryan Hurst performances are both incredible and terrifying at the same time damn both of their acting skills are so good in this episode.

I love this backstory episode. Up until this episode, I was hoping we'd see a backstory in which Alpha was near Terminus and saw Carol walking amid the hoard she used to rescue everybody from the cannibals, and that gave Alpha the idea to become a whisperer. It would have been interestingly dark to have Carol be the originator of the threat that eventually took her son.

It sucks how, when people fell off during the Negan storyline, TWD became stigmatised as "going on too long" and "the show that won't die" but honestly, S9-10-11 are some of the best. It really picks up again after the Negan slog. And now with all the spin-offs coming out, TWD is getting memed more and more as "becoming the walker" but honestly, it's still great stuff! Fear and Dead City are so good, and I know the next 2 spin-offs will be too. I hope they keep going.

Alpha and Beta meeting was approximately around the same time as the culmination of the war between Rick and Negan and probably around the time frame of Rick and Co going to the museum in DC followed by Gregory’s execution that night there was around a year and a half time jump between Season 8 and Season 9 and the six year time jump between Season 9 episode 5 and Season 9 episode 6 Also Gamma is the next one in the hierarchy below Beta they use the Greek alphabet for the hierarchy.

Gamma is the 3rd letter of the Greek Alphabet. So you have the 1st: Alpha the 2nd: Bets and the 3rd: Gamma. It’s basically A - B - C in our Alphabet.

when the series was running, there allways was a rumor about Beta being "Famous" pre-apocalypse. That's why he doesnt want to show his face. He's also hinted at in Fear The Walking Dead.

Season 10 has extra 6 episodes which make the season 22 episodes but the main season finale which is ep16 is so well made it’s probably my favorite or in my top 3 best season finales list

Underrated episode. I love the development of Alpha and Beta, in my opinion they are the best villains in the series. The Saviors were fine, but their story (besides extending it unnecessarily) was not as well written and adapted in the series as they were with the Whisperers (I would even say that they did better in the series than in the comic).

This is a zombie show don't forget 😊 I frigging love Samantha Morton. Damn she plays alpha so good. This is a great season imo. All will be answered 😂 I have no doubt in my mind that alpha loves her child. There is just some other things going on. Alpha wanted Lydia to be strong and not weak so she would survive in that chaos of a world. I get it.but oh how will her whisperers react when they see Lydia is alive.

Alpha DID NOT create the Whisperers. The Whisperer's origin has never been told. There's a series called "Tales of the Walking Dead". It's a series of different stories and one deals with Alpha and the Whisperers.

yeah that is where the writing was/is on point for TWD. they realize just how impactful backstories are and don't treat them as merely an afterthought. still a long way away from what i think, at least for me personally anyways, is a top 5, possibly top 3 episode. and the slow transformation and reawakening of a top 3 character. again, just my own personal thoughts. good job guys.

TWD were so lucky to get the award winning actress "Samantha Morton "as Alpha ,it tells you just how good Robert Kirmans writing really is it was the same sitstuation with many of the other cast members especially Negan ,so many big names Auditioned like the guy who played keeny on lost, word has it John Travolta Auditioned, also Mathew lillard from the scream movie ,but there was only one man that was perfect for the role an everyone new it Jeffrey Dean Morgan..with out any spoilers there's a huge reason Beta is the way he an im looking forward for you pair to finding out ...let's just say Carol has an awesome plan up her sleeve an it's genuis

Great reaction! Love this episode, you get to see where Alpha and Beta met each other, Hope you see this. Beta hides his face because back in the day. He use to be a famous singer, And he don't wanna be recognized, His last concert was the start of the Apocalypse, Where he got to see his fans die. And he just watched, thats why he hides his face. There is a easter egg about it in Fear The Walking Dead, if you blink and you will miss it, So if you see any Vinyl in these shows, you might see it
