I always enjoy seeing others' reactions to The Walking Dead episodes but I have to honestly say I enjoy your videos the best by far. Part of it may just be envy and wishing I had TWD viewing gatherings and parties but more so, it's listening to the discussions everyone has during them. Regarding Carol's change, I think you saw the first ray of it (her fear of losing all her humanity like Paula (Alicia Witt) when she shot the lead Wolf as he was helping Denise and then later in the cookie scene from last week, filling Sam's head with demons which caused his and his family's death as well as leading to Carl's injury. As she told Daryll, she's not okay. It could be the weeks of peace following the huge walker fight has allowed her to relax from warrior mode and reflect on her own soul. If she didn't, she'd have stopped counting after she reached double digit kills like Paula. Maggie also sees she could easily go over the brink at the very end of this episode, too. Seeing Maggie and Carol go totally badass is fantastic but I like that they can see how easy it is to go beyond the point of redemption and become non-feeling humans.

I think last episode, we saw how carol feels guilty to all of the people she killed because she lists them down and doesn't want to forget them. And now she's scared. Then, she sees the girl savior, and she sees herself in her. Which nakes the title, The Same Boat, relevant to the conflict that Carol is experiencing. And she sees herself too much that when she was saying "Just run" maybe she meant to say that to herself too. Carol is feeling the guilt right now so I think this change was set up nicely. Morgan even said in the JSS episode that Carol doesn't like to kill. So i think it makes sense NICE REACTION! Subscribed for this 🎉

Alexandria has given everyone in the group a chance to reflect on things and with Carol coming to realize that she has killed 20 people, she saw the wolf was helping Denise after she already shot her, and the loss of Sam has hit her. I feel that Carol will come to grips with this and be able to move on from it but she won't be quite the same. she'll still be willing to kill, but she won't have the mentality of shoot first and ask questions later or in her case ask no questions at all.

Theory time: Carol is having a hard time seeing the people she cares about becoming like her and beginning to second guess her "take no prisoners" lifestyle. Carol was the martyr of the group-- she did things so no one else in the group had to. Seeing the people she cares about turn pragmatic and cold, especially Maggie, is too much for her and she is beginning to see herself from the actions they commit. Remember: "You were supposed to be someone else." This is not the world she wanted for anyone. This last part may be reaching, but all that Carol has done in the past was, arguably, driven by her motherly instinct to protect. There's no one to protect and there's no one to save anymore. She thought her sacrifice would keep people like Maggie from becoming just as cold and ruthless. Failure.
