I love this episode. The group's raiding the outposts was awesome. I like the conflicting views between Jesus/Tara (I 100% agree with Tara btw) and Morgan going full on terminator. Rick killing the guy protecting his kid was actually really well done and unexpected. Also seeing Morales again for the first time in like 7 seasons was a really good ending

When Morgan says "I don't die" its not out of confidence, it's more so him saying he gets to watch his family and friends die while he gets to live. As if its a curse. Also the POW'S can be used for 2 things. Either conversion to being one of them, which yes is hard but if they surrender then they surrender. Also they can be worth something. You can trade them for some of your people if something happens to people of our own.

Morgan was a beast this episode! He defenetly cleared. Speaking of which, during the "Clear" episode, he told Rick that he doesn't die. "The meek shall inherit the Earth". He started the series as a good guy who took in Rick and caught him up. But his failure to protect Dwain from his walker wife made him insane. Now he's there again. Clear mode.

My only real issue with season 8 is some of the pacing. They definitely could have shortened some plot lines. That said, I'm that freak fan who likes every season of TWD, and even if S8 isn't one of my favorites it definitely has some of my favorite episodes in the entire show. There are going to be (and already have been) people who will comment saying this season isn't good, but just enjoy the show and don't worry about the opinion of others. I'm pretty damn sure you'll enjoy watching this season.

So, There was no plan to bring back Morales, but a funny thing happened. In one reactors video, commenters started asking if Morales was going to return. This morphed into "Where's Morales?" It got bigger and bigger, then became a meme. Finially Talking Dead's Chris Hardwick picked up on it and then the TWD writers. So they decided to bring him back to the delight of the TWD fans.

People had been speculating about Morales for years, and if I remember right, the actor had teased a picture or something about a year or two before this episode of him at that point in the apocalypse. Daryl will always choose Rick over everyone, no matter what.

Honestly, regarding the tiger, I dont think it would have blood on its maw. Tigers, and lions, when they chase down their prey, generally go for the throat to suffocate its victim. They dont usually start feasting until after they have killed it. If you watch a pack of lions take down a target, once they get it to the ground, one clamps down on the neck, while the others may grab and hold a leg or even watch the area for any signs of interference.

I love the scene where he's "a one man killing machine", to quote Lacey. He's so focused on taking out every Savior he can that the sunshine in his face throws him back. Morgan Jones is definitely in the Dark Place right now.

The scene where Rick kills that Savior who was just protecting his baby was a sad moment because when he looks at himself in the mirror he's thinking "is this what what I am now making babies become orphans" it's probably gonna make him rethink his way of doing things in the future

I had an extremely long back and forth with someone about this episode earlier today and someone posted a MAJOR spoiler, so the mods had to erase it. (Thank God Lacey didn't have to read all that stuff.😂) But I basically pointed out that the whole Unlimited Ammo thing doesn't bother me too badly because I see it in practically every action scene ever. But for me, the things they make bullet-proof on the show is laughable. I thought they used corrugated steel for the armor on the cars, but you said it's corrugated TIN?! SMH. Anyway, I still half believe that this is some kind of homage to old westerns and low-budget '70s action flicks. 🥰❤️

Great episode. Season 8 already starting out with a bang. Major action happening from left to right. And how crazy was it seeing Morales making an appearance once again in the show? That was hella freaking cool. For years people had been wanting to know what happened to him and his family, asking the writers to bring back the character. And it finally came true! Dang. Sad though, it doesn't seem like it event great for him and his family otherwise he wouldn't be fighting for Negan. Can't wait for you to see the rest. Peace!

I was really shocked by how they wrote Tara's character for this episode..... she, of all people, shouldn't be a 'kill the hostages' person. Wasn't she one of the Governor's group that assaulted the very people who took her in after? You would think she would be the one arguing that every savior can't all be 100% on Negan's side.

Some people will say that they are keeping the snipers from retaliating. Which makes sense. Apparently there was supposed to be shots of Saviors in the windows, but one of the stuntmen died during production and this episode (probably season, TBH) was thrown into chaos. *Thanks, Movieman and Gravityprone.😉* Only thing is, those windows don't even look like they open. A sniper would have zero chance at accuracy. Others will tell you that they are drawing the walkers with sound. Also a good option to solve this mystery. But, damn! What a friggin' waste of ammo when you're starting a war! This is just one of the many problems with the writing on season 8. At series end, I have no doubt which season the cast will pick as their least favorite.

Season 8’s probably my least favorite season, but I guess it’s one of those seasons that’s enjoyable to binge, especially for the first time. When it was on TV, it wasn’t worth it for me. That was my thought process for Season 2 and Season 7 as well.. so.. I’m glad you guys are enjoying it though. Rick didn't knowingly kill him, though. He had absolutely no knowledge of Baby Gracie until the man was dead. 😟 That's the point. This war is going to change everyone. That's what war does. But when Rick looks in the mirror he doesn't recognize or like who he's becoming. He's just killed a man, an enemy, without giving him any chance to speak or explain. (The writing breaks down here, too, because the guy is fighting him so ferociously that Rick kind of has no choice but to take him out. I never once got the vibe during this scene that the man was willing to explain anything.)

Mate, I love the show too, but claiming it has just a few moments of bad writing is an extraordinary claim in the same league as those who claim the Star Wars Prequels are masterpieces (I also love those films, but they are objectively flawed). The Walking Dead has numerous examples of bad writing, often a few or more examples in every single episode.
