I read this online about ep 1 Season 2 Originally, this episode was supposed to feature the return of the Vatos. After the CDC explodes, Rick's group was going to head to the Vatos shelter as a place to rest. Upon arrival, they would have found it overrun by walkers. The group would then kill some of the walkers, including Guillermo, before taking back the guns they gave them, and continuing on to Fort Benning. The sequence was cut but some of the scenes can be seen in the Season 2 Trailer.

I just realized like three weeks ago that "the walking dead" existed! Thanks to netflix i watched the whole season 1 in one day (like in seven hours). Now im so anxcious to see each episode every sunday!

I greatly enjoy that Rick still has his Cowboy Hat. It feels great to know. The wondering and waiting anxiety at the ending of Season 1 was really starting to tear me up especially since he had already lost and got it back in the Pilot and Vatos episodes of Season 1. As I have said I before I really enjoy wearing my Cowboy Hat constantly. When I see characters on television that have one I hope that they do not lose it or get it back if they do. I just hope he keeps throughout the entire series.

@GAMEZLIVEZ No. For anyone watching this vid, the scene shown at 1:03 "Everyone grab a gun" "our life depends on it" are all from Episode 1. The thing is, Episode 1 was supposed to be a full 90 minutes long. It was supposed to be about Rick returning to the city with the others to warn the Vatos that it's not safe in the city (and probably after Rick heard what Jenner told him-that people turn into walkers even if they die of natural causes) so Rick raced to the hospital but found everyone dead.

@GAMEZLIVEZ to answer your question, it will not be a flashback anymore, although the current episodes and future episodes may have been edited so that people don't mention what happened in the vatos hideout, could be a guess. It might be a deleted scene on the DVD or edited back in altogether, we can only hope, since it makes the first Episode 20x better.

Unique how they changed the cast of Hershel's farm. Originally he had like 7 kids in all age ranges, twins which were even near Sophia and Carl's age & his wife passed away prior to the outbreak. Instead it looks like he doesn't have a son of his own except for in marriage, his wife is a walker, and he just has those few girls except that boy he took in. Kept Maggie in though, but I really don't see TV Hershel warming up to Glenn any time soon. Love the dynamics, can't beat it!

@GAMEZLIVEZ This trailer was done in August I believe, when Darabont was still filming. Darabont had filmed 8 Episodes. 7 Episodes have currently aired. February 12th's Episode is the last of Darabont's Episode. They were finished when he was fired, but not finished in the editing process. It's possible to footage was working before he got fired so he kept in the trailer. There was an article discussing this and how he raced to fixed the footage in time of the premiere but couldn't.

I think with the new characters and plot twists they might switch things up from the comics, like when Rick loses his hand in the comics, he might not in the show. Or if he does, they might switch the role of the Governor to being Meryl- that'd be irony. I hope they find Sofia, yes she's a minor character, but the kids display innocence and hope in the broken world. We'll just have to wait and see.

Based on what Jenner whispered to Rick, I guess what happened was someone old in the nursing home died. Then turned into a walker and then BOOM all hell breaks loose... Byebye Guillermo.

@GAMEZLIVEZ Episode 9 is written by a writer from the Wire I believe, and Episode 10 is written and directed by Greg Nicotero(the zombie make-up expert and best friend of Darabont) which will be awesome. I forget who's writing Episode 11. There's 13 Episodes in Season 2, 7 have already aired and Episodes 8-13 will air in February and wrap up with the finale in mid March. No one's really the main director anymore since they switch every couple episodes for fun. Season 3 airs in October 2012.

@BlackHawkPGA No, they just reshot the scene without hair most likely. They didnt want to give it away that he shaved. That means it will be a few expisodes before shane gets infected from the knife he used to cut his hand. He used it on a zombie before he cut his hand. He WILL be infected before season 3. It was leaked from the main site.

@boompoboom he didn't get bit...if you watch the 4 and a half minute trailer, theirs a part were he is sitting next to a wrecked car or something, but you can see a bandage on his arm were he cut it on the car lol. So he's still good from what I know.

Wonderful show. Of all the vampires and witches sitcoms, the zombies finally have their spotlight! lol I hate the season will be split for a few months, but I guess it's easier to wait that long than an entire year like we did for Season 2. I wonder why so many people are telling comic readers to shut up, the show has it's own originality to it, let the folks conversate about their opinions in peace.

@archangel2467 I'm sure they'll make a reappearance either later this season or next season along with Michonne. In the comics Morgan's son got bit and turned, but Morgan didn't have the heart to put him down, so they left him locked in this cabin. Morgan continued on with the group, develop a relationship with Michonne, but then after a year of survival, during the zombie siege of the Alexandra-Safe Zone, he got bit and Michonne killed him before he turned. Who knows what the show will be.
