The whisperers can work but it is in danger of being real corny and cheesy. They need to be straight horror. Obviously people dressing like that would be kinda cultish in nature, so they need to make them really brutal in nature. Don't pull no punches with them otherwise it will not work. Ie skinning, beheading and cannabilism.

The symbol on Alphas belt is called Ouroboros. Ouroboros expresses the unity of all things, material and spiritual, which never disappear but perpetually change form in an eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation.

I dont know too much about it but it may be worth looking into on why thats on her belt. I stumbled on the meaning of that symbol on accident. I found the definition of Ouroboros online and really dont know much more outside of that.

Making The Whisperers’s Walker Mask isn’t that far fetched, have you never heard of The Slasher Leatherface from Texas Chainsaws Massacre? He’s pretty much Beta, a big guy wearing a human face mask. Ed Gein, the real life serial killer used to make all kind of things from human skin, including a suit made from human skin that he treated and tanned like the process of making leather.

People are saying that the Whisperers won't appear until the final four episodes of season 9. I just don't see that happening because for one, the ratings will go down even more and two, that means they lied to us about season 9 being like seasons 4 and 5.

Not really since Magna is a big part of A New Beginning and they can do more with her and she literally starts out on the road and encounters a gigantic herd and we find out it's Alexandria redirecting it towards ocean. And she enters Alexandria same way Rick did thinking they are up to something or are extremely weak and acts the same way Rick did in Season 5. And no story without a villain? I wonder who the Villain was for the first one and a half seasons before Shane kind of took mantle in 2b

I just hope they don't spend the entire season 9 with no walkers and just farming. I know they want the windmill for three seasons. I'm pretty sure the whisperers burn it down in season 11. They will probably only tease them in season 9. People will start going out scavenging and going missing and ending up with their head on a stake. Then in the finale they will find heith and take him to doctor and when he gets fluids and medicine and wakes up he explains what he seen like the guy did in the comics. I hope so. They always switch it up. But some things are iconic like negan and alphas big moment

i think the stained glass in the field depending on which branches they are on may work kinda like a sundial. the light will only pass through and create a prism on either side respective of pre/post-noon sun positioning. it may not be super accurate but is the closest to a functioning clock they may have....

Lydia's character could be a Sister instead of a daughter to Alpha. This means she could be involved with pretty much any of the survivors, or they could make the character a guy, (liam or leo or something) and they could be involved with rosita or someone....? Just a possibility

All the so called Whisperer easter eggs have been debunked by the people behind the show I think people are jumping the gun here like Gimple said himself people need to realize the show likes putting some original arcs in and Angela Kang has some new and original ideas that AMC feels will bring life back to the show. I don't think they will be a major factor at all in Season 9 the post were just on location and owner wouldn't let them take the post out. The gigantic herd is most likely the one that attacks Magna's group in the beginning of A New Beginning they just had conflict for two and a half seasons and it was met with serious backlash they are not rushing into another war. Especially a dumb one like Whisperers they are a cool concept but that arc is lame they need to rewrite the whole thing or else it will get more backlash than Saviors

After watching the first 2 eps of FTWD, I think there's still a possibility Madison or Naomi become Alpha in reaction to Mel and the Vultures. Also Charlie could be Lydia. With Morgan and the new characters now on FTWD, they can go on without Madison and have her swap to TWD.

not going to happen. Kids are one thing that is easy in the comics and really hard in the show. if you want to cast small kids, you have to find twins who fit the role and I am still curious how this will be with Maggies child. Replacing an Asian-Caucasian mix with a asian looking baby is doable but casting a fitting baby for Rick and Michonne will be nearly impossible. A friend who is involved with filming and stuff said that this is the real reason "mixed raced relationsships" are rare on TV. It is not the point that not every single one in the film crew wishes to leave this "white people have a white partner and black people need a black partner" way behind for good, way in the past were it belongs but the moment you want to bring in children you have this old casting problem back.

This is all I want to know about season 9 , for this season I won’t be watching any of ur leak videos and that as it was cool to know about season 7 episode 16 garbage people betrayal and season 8 episode 16 Eugene sabotage of bullets and negan staying alive but it just lessened the hype for me after watching it as I already knew about it ... The whisperers were a fantastic concept but definitely botched in the comic. They should not have killed Beta but rather left him in the wind possibly to rebuild the whisperers & come back maybe 20-30 issues down the road. Just a very anticlimactic ending imho

I liked the Whisperer concept and how it connected things. Some of the whisperer things were pretty dumb, but I think the show can/should do the whisperers justice

Yea most of the hype is by show fans that never read comics the Whisperers have an awesome concept but they were executed horribly it was just basically an arc to make fan favorite Negan look like a badass

They might do that on the show, I really think the writers want to have Negan stick around, help Rick, and be a big part of the series going forward. I hope Angela Kang puts Negan down a little bit, as we have a healthy Rick going into Season 9.

I'm sure they will don't get me wrong I loved the Negan part of that arc it's what kept me interested but Ricks leg not being broken changes everything like you said and Carl being gone. Whisperers will be totally different than comics and Rick being out in the field also changes a lot so glad he didn't get his leg broken

There is already a lot of set up that's different from the comics so it won't be the same at all. The whisperers concept alone can save the entire show, their introduction in the comics was actually pretty amazing it's just kirkman couldn't keep that momentum going so since season 9 is going to be a lot like season 5 the pacing should be on point. They already killed Carl off so that eliminates a lot of the unnecessary elements for the show like him losing his virginity or getting his eye hole licked etc etc and Rick hasn't broken his leg so that pretty much changes everything already. The show does a pretty good job with villians they just don't know when to kill them off
