This was a great episode and it hit me in all the feels. I cried when Nat died. I think if the main TWD show was still going, Nat would’ve lived and gone over to that show.

... Plus, the Civic Republic is such a closed off, selective community that is focused on gene pools, a worker bee system that doesn't like "A's" who are strong, smart & charismatic. I don't know if they would accept a little person. They could use his smarts but I don't remember seeing disabled or little people at their other sister cities.

Besides they likely would’ve killed him on the the spot anyways, say if they didn’t kill him as what we saw. Or, it’s possible that Rick would’ve.

It's such great writing when they can make the viewer love a character who just appeared in one episode. 🥲 I think because this is such a short series, either one season or maybe two seasons, they didn't want to add too many characters to the story when the focus is on Rick & Michonne. Him going to the Civic Republic will complicate things. No offense to Gimple but he creates great characters but he underutilizes them and keeps them in the background until they get boring. In a weird way I am glad Nat wont become like Jesus or John Dorie, where they are ignored as characters. I will miss Nat tho.

You're right, I understood the reason why really quickly : they want to have all of the time on screen for Rick and Michonne. But at the same time, they wrote stuff for Rick's friends during the first episode and I'm pretty sure we're gonna see them again, so why not keeping one friend for Michonne ? I don't think it would have been complicated to keep him at all in the sense that they didn't have to write him things right away, they could have kept the mystery around where he ended and used that at some point (this season or even later) as a reveal, a surprising help (or not, he could have turned in the enemy side !).

@@LauraReactions Yes, I can see Thorne and Estaban being useful again since we are back at CRM. I hear u, I really liked Nat. It got me thinking tho. Since we know how selective the CRM are with all their A's & B's stuff. I wonder if they would let little people like Nat in their community. Or even people with dsablties? I wonder if they only choose able bodied people and see little people like Nat as a liability. Not to mention in a show like this, how the writers would write for someone like him in an apocalypse. I know they tried with Wendell on Fear but the wheelchair thing seemed to be hard to write for. Him needing to be pushed when chased all the time and putting him in situations where he's safe somewhere.
