Andrew & Danai might do cameo’s on the spin-offs , because they haven’t given any reliable hints there’s going to be a season 2, their playing with you guys to keep you watching the spinoffs, and most importantly you shouldn’t dismiss the fact they both left to do other things , it’s totally up to Andrew & Danai if they do more series not AMC, or the rating .The ones who lives gave us an ending “although rushed” to Michonne & Ricks story arc, they don’t need a 2nd season they wrapped it up . The spinoffs can mention them, and maybe a few cameos if both choose when the other shows finally end.

Also… this May, Cailey is starring in a movie with Ryan Reynolds (“IF”) that could actually do pretty well in theaters. If that puts her “on the map” and she starts getting movie offers, she may no longer have time for TWD, and of course there is the budgetary issue of what everybody demands money-wise, and she might be worth more by then. We haven’t really seen if Antony Azor (RJ) can act. His scenes have all been, let’s say “non-demanding”… but if he can act, I really hope they are able to stick with the same actors, for the sake of familiarity and continuity.

I see a bunch of comments mentioning how the CRM was the perfect final boss or that there isn't really another threat equal to that of the CRM. But in my opinion it was setup perfectly. Who says any future stories has to have another large human threat, when we learned that there are dead masses of millions of walkers out there along with variants. The shows can easily use all of the communities we've been introduced to (Commonwealth, CRM, France, Dead City depending on how it goes, Alexandria, etc.) to use all available resources to wipe out the walker threat once and for all. Lead obviously by Rick Grimes. lol

2nd season/Ppp card: They said they had undercover agents in communities across the country, in the echelon speal. Agents that were in on beil's plan. I assume the ppp card tara found when heath vanished was jadas's. Maybe they give them to agents - tho, i wouldn't say jada's was a full agent. She was buying her way in with a's and b's. I doubt she knew anything beyond the bare minimum before she brought them rick. I also think lance was in connection with crm - the large group that he said would come if he wasn't there anymore. - Common wealth is so big, and lance doesn't count as undercover (just a connection, kinda like jadas was), I would assume theres a couple undercover's mixed in with the population. - and even if lance's connection isn't the crm. C.w. is big enough, it'd be weird if they didn't have agents there. Perhaps the undercover agent's try to take out rick n michone in retaliation? Season 2 could be sussing out the remaining agents that wouldn't have been at the summit, as their post is to live in communities and sus out things/people the crm would want and be there to help destroy it when the time came. While they deal with that in season 2, carol fetches daryl in dixon, and learns of the variants. Then france can be the next big bad, after tying off crm loose ends... in either show or a whole new spinoff that brings it all back together... tho, not sure how to tie naggie does Manhattan in, as its a few years ahead. Idk. Just some thoughts.

The variant walkers are a huge secondary problem for the suvivors. I would kind of like to see how they manage those. Daryl is public enemy #1. I think it was the budget, they didn't want to spend the $$$ to pay the Alexandria cast to appear in a "welcome back" scene, easier to just pay 3 actors to appear and we just use our imagination on the full cast seeing him again. That way next show we have all that out of the way, and go right into it..this show was incredibly rushed and way too short. I was shocked when they took down the CRM in 1 freakin episode. And none of it seemed logical, like how they blew up the whole army with poisonous gas?? Not Missiles. And were closest to the explosion yet came out without a scratch lol not to mention Rick being within a foot of a grenade and not even having hearing loss 😅..they shouldn't have let Michonne write and direct the last few episodes..her logic was b.s. also Jadis and Ricks CRM partner all of a sudden regretting their allegiance to the CRM moments before their death. Lots of plot armor in this series, the actors were great but the story and writing sucked..

i liked the ending, but man it was odd to me, few things . the kids not greeting rick at all and the 3 (michonne, rj, judith) all kinda ignore rick then after greetings turn to include rick. my only other thought about that was that the two kids would meet them alone... as if rick and michonne coming back wouldnt bring out more than their two kids? also... why would rick leave his new mechanical hand behind? Cant see an season 2 happening, as others have said, its more likely rick turn up in the finale of daryl dixon show when that comes to an end.

A possible season 2 wouldn't really have the reunions we want, or at least daryl and negan wouldn't happen. Rick can't meet negan before Dead City takes place because he wasn't near where they are, and Daryl is in France basically at the same time. Also, I have a feeling rick, and Daryl reunion could be the finale of Daryl Dixon, and he is similar to the end of this show. A season 2 would really be limited to characters like Aaron and Gabrial and maybe Maggie, possibly Carol. But season 2 would probably focus on the grimes family and then a season 3 could have all the reunions we really want to see and have then expanded on.

Good spin-off but the continuity of him leaving the prosthetic metal hand for Thorne but then have it when he fought the guards afterwards was strange.

I can't believe that the CRM was taken down so simply, wish it was more like a civil war setup with the civic republic and the CRM for season 2 🤷🏼 or something man!!!!
