I don’t think it was overhyped, I think it was adequately hyped. Most reviewers I saw didn’t say “it’s the best episode ever” like some fans were spreading around. They said more like: “it’s the best twd we’ve gotten in a while.” Which I think, at least in terms of dialogue, is true.

The episode was AMAZING, and deserving of ALL the EMMY’S! Acting, writing, production, scene montage. This was perfection. This couple was in an existential crisis. When his 1st wife (Lori) died, Rick suffered an emotional breakdown. He'd see the ghost of Lori at times & even talk to her too. So, it's understandable that he would go through something similar now. When he was taken...he was still grieving the lost of his son Carl & then taken to a place he couldn't leave. Everytime he tried to escape he was forced back. He lost all the ppl he cared about, including his wife (Michonne), Judith & their life together. Rick tends to be emotionally fragile when it comes to the well-being of his loved ones. I think this episode was important on that level.

Q&A: This was basically a soap opera type thing but it is was necessary to continue the story line. You remember Okafor he killed his wife when he crossed sides with the national guard air force at Lincoln Financial Field. Now you got this big meet up at the CRM with all the sides to gather together and meet up. Will it be Jadis that pays her dept to Rick and blows up this big CRM meeting? That's my question to you One Eye Bri? Cause Jadis is on the inside and she knows like Okafor how to bring it down from the inside. I see Jadis sacrificing herself for the common good. Where Thorne stands that's going to be a Michonne and her epic battle. We all know that Michonne didn't come all this way to be let down but I also don't think that it's not going to be a happily ever living between Rick & Michonne. One of them are going. I think Rick will bite the bullet and gives Michonne a bitter pill to swallow with his death to continue fighting and bring Ricks the way he views of saving the world to make it better for future generations to come. There will be way where I also think they will bring all these Daryl and Carol in France, Negan & Maggie in New York, plus maybe Morgan and Mo from FTWD and characters from Alexandria, Commonwealth to make it whole so when the TWD Universe with all the spinoffs that when it ends will conclude in a satisfying way that does not disappoint. That's my take because they wouldn't be investing 13 million an episode just for it to flop. I know I wrote a story.

If Jadis was already a member of CRM while she was an undercover while living with the garbage village people, why didn't she call the CRM for help after Simon and his group killed all of her people? The CRM could have ended Simon and Negan and The Sanctuary just like that.
@donnaramos-2bgr8srv9 ай бұрын
Jadis was not a member of the CRM when she was the leader at the junkyard. She explains to Rick in the early flashback of ep3 that she was approached by a couple of CRM soldiers who offered a deal. She provides "lost" individuals (Bs) or Troublemakers (As) in exchange for supplies. She tried to give Negan to them out of revenge for what Simon did (believing it was on Negan's orders), but he found her photos and threatened to destroy them for leverage. The helicopter came, but left again.

It was a great episode, so far they all have been. I don’t think it was overhyped. Perhaps it was talked up more than others because Danai wrote it. Question, was Thorne in or piloting the helicopter they were on that crashed? If so, no reference was made of her living or dying. I still think if they wait & take out all the highest ranking commanders at the Summit meeting that would be their best chance of ensuring back home is safe. Makes me wonder if that is going to happen since they really focused in on Thorne & Rick getting the location ready for the big meeting & Jadis having her own room there.

Hey Bri, one thing that bothers me is how the characters have enough plot armor to dodge real world physics. Having written 20 novels you have to be aware that other than the virus, bacteria, fungus, radiation or whatever causes the zombies that the the story world still functions the same way as it does in the real world. Guns need bullets, vehicles need fuel, and so forth. This is why Michonne uses a katana rather than a lightsaber. It would be nice if you would explain this to the dismissive people that just hand wave things away with a "It's a zombie show."

Adequately hyped. Not a filler by ANY stretch of the imagination. How could it be? It was VITAL for the series, in varying ways, but also this is about the LOVE STORY of Michonne and Rick, Michonne finding and trying to get him home, whilst - yes - they do some CRM building around them. I realize that the love story aspect is a difficult concept for many of the Dude-Bro's to grasp (for a variety of reasons, including some implicit biases) but this is what Gimple, Danai and Andy have sold it as. Phenomenal job by the Tony Nominated Playwright Danai Gurira who not only wrote but showran, EDITED and acted in this beautiful episode.

Do you think that attacking Alexandria could lead to a war between the commonwealth and the CRM? Since it appears that alexandria is apart of the commonwealth now. Since its been stated that the CRM is in Philadelphia could is be possible that Daryl could of passed by the CRM since he found himself in Maine at some point. Do you think Maggie may know about the CRM since she has been around the country during the time she wasnt on the show? And could Maggie and Negan encountered CRM activity on their way to NYC? Just some interesting things to think about.

I personally like it. And 8 years is along time apart. His main goal from the very first episode was to find his son and keep him safe. He loves michonne, Judith and everyone else. But nothing will ever replace Carl. So having the episode explaining to each other the past 8 years was important. And us as views would want the answers. I think her showing Rick the picture of Carl snapped him out of it, and gave him the push he needed. I also think it was smart of them to bring up Carl. It takes you back to who Rick was from the first episode and how he will fight for his family. But sadly I do think when they get back home and one of them will die. I think it will be Rick and as he’s dying he will see Carl. The show started with them and it should end with them. :)

Did not like that ep at all. Rick's refusal didn't really make sense, Michonne's fight for him didn't even make sense. It's like the relationship is fkd😬

So you haven’t seen the episode or you’re too small brained to understand it?

I kept expectations low so it’s been fun to watch so far. I would still choose FTWD over these last three spin offs lol😅🫠. Andrew Lincoln’s time off was a good calll for him. His acting has been good.
