Aliens instinctively knows water is bad for them maybe from reflection of sound they feel water will not carry them. Death angels have incredible mass that is why they are immune to the most weapons. One thing I never get with these is that the death angels are so sensitive to sounds that they hone in on the nearest one, but when they jump off buildings they just ignore the sound of the shattered glass crashing down. Wouldn't that loud of a sound grab their attention more than a suble thud of a breifcase tipping over? Especially when there are other angels causing even more glass to rain down and shatter on the ground.

Also, given they attack car alarms, then it would appear they can't discern between 'human noise' and inanimate object noise, like a car alarm. So surely a gust of wind topples an empty tin can, they'd go rushing after it, wind chimes must be a constant menace to these 'angel aliens'... The premise of 'A Quiet Place' is just stupid, like really dumb. Zombie films have their flaw, that being the dead arising and becoming flesh eating ghouls, but you can work with re-animated humans, however there is something obviously stupid about the premise of sound sensitive bad guys.

Technically, being underground would be the quietest place for you to be assuming you're dressed for it, and thus would be the safest place to be. Though they aren't dressed for quiet. Even so, the creatures seem to prefer staying above ground less noise makes them go underground, so in most cases, its not anymore dangerous than being above ground. Especially since the creatures can seemingly hear through solid windows several stories up and through walls. So its not like being above ground is any better regardless of decibel echos or in general such like that. In fact, being in such an enclosed space is or would be dangerous for the creatures as if a loud enough sound plays inside, then you could essentially kill it if not cause it to have hearing damage. As we've seen in the first and second movies I believe.

Hey hey, whoa now - you can't question how they make dramatic tension in movies. Sacrilege! Jk, yeah, same here. In fact, the story makes them out to be impregnable and thus indestructible, yet their insides are perfectly vulnerable. Umm... that's not how physics works, hahah. Creators didn't think about blunt force trauma. They say the creatures are able to handle explosions, but even if a 105mm HEAT round from a tank couldn't penetrate their armor, it'd still kill the thing purely about the shock wave.

Also; if a species relied on hearing so much they’d probably evolve echolocation to a great enough extent that it would be comparable to vision; thus being quiet doesn’t do much as they can hear the slightest molecular disturbance. The aliens themselves jumping everywhere and landing hard on surface and metal making all sorts of sounds and clanks and clonks on metal stairs and cars, or breaking through windows. But somehow they don't attack themselves or those sound sources. They specifically recognize if the sound was human-made. This reminds me of the Super Mutants in the Fallout games, you walk in some house guarded by them, if YOU walk or run around and there's one in the next room you'll hear him say "Huh? What was that? A noise." Yeah, a noise, like the noises you and your chums make when you walk around on those old decrepit wooden floors, but somehow you know those sounds are from your chums only. I do like the concept of this series and its monsters, but the actual execution is terrible.

My Idea of How to Survive Death Angels 1. I'm guessing that cat is mute. (this is just a random aside) 2. lure death angels away from harbor with drone rigged with a Bluetooth speaker 3. Ready cargo ships at harbor with deep water 4. Ready smaller/tug boat/ship with excellent sound system (not for tuggin in this case) 5. Pilot smaller ship into the middle of the harbor 6. Ready cargo ships to be remote controlled (or something) 7. Blast the music and pilot the smaller ship to keep out of range of the cargo ships 8. Once lured onto ships, send all the death angels out to sea -- those that jump off drown, those that stay onboard... 9. Sink all the cargo ships. 10. Rinse and Repeat Thoughts? (...&MOST OF ALL!) - do they use ONLY PASSIVE echo-location or have any ACTIVE systems to map their surroundings ?? - i.e: do they generate quick-high-frequency sound "burts" (that would seem like "clicks" or series of them to our ear!) to create an instantaneous 3D-model of their surrounding AND ARE ABLE TO DETECT A PROFILE OF A HUMAN FORM THROUGH THAT METHOD?? ...or do they rely just on PASSIVE echo-location (just like SONAR-systems on subs do, for the main part, engaging the ACTIVE sonar only when absolutely necessary) ??

Stopped watching this movie when I got to the scene where hundreds of survivors marched together in the open street all to get slaughtered. They needed to change the premise a bit for the aliens. The suspension of disbelief that the military wouldn't wipe the floor with them is too much. Maybe include a virus or something else that would wipe out the soldiers.

These aliens have very specific weaknesses that would take at least a month to learn and exploit. These guys prob took out 90% of the military the first week of their arrival. Plus they most likely killed important figures like the president and military generals so there was no chain of command.

So many plot holes in these two films they look like a string vest. In the first film we are made to believe that these creatures have taken over the world despite the massive combined military and civilian firepower that exists. And yet, at the end of the first film we learn that the creatures are susceptible to certain sound frequencies and, oh yes, you can blow their heads off with a shotgun if you shoot them in the mouth. (And we're supposed to believe that high velocity rounds can't harm them, which physics and biology says is not likely.) This is another film which, like Cloverfield, expects us to pretend the laws we learned about in school don't exist. Another Hollywood monster fail.

@@mr.trouble827not really. The Air Force blew up the bridges and isolated Manhattan so they already knew the aliens couldn’t swim. Movies like these either make the military useless for the sake of making their concepts sound remotely possible or they use the military for convenience
