even for a short video this has been delightfull julie. im prety sure i know where this old relic is as i used to pass it every day on my walk to burnside school and back. but i never knew what it was used for and now i do. i sometimes go to the feild close by on nights when i cant sleep and have food on a campfire so this area is special to me

Used to hang around there a lot as a kid and never saw it once haha. Great video. Need to try and find it now 😅

I walked past it almost every day as a kid and never knew it was there either. Hopefully I will get the location video done soon. I hope you manage to find it

We live and learn! I used to walk down there on my way to the Burnside and I had no idea what it was although I have a vague memory of seeing some of the features in the video. Particularly interesting for me since I had a relative who served on the AA guns near the top of Station Road and on the Old Coast Road, who used to tell me about the searchlight operation and the way the guns were worked. Nice one!
