Yes, America became a country effectively ruled by a wealthy few again for their benefit and that's what has to change rather than the opposite - i.e. to take it back to the 1920s with the class and wealth and racial and gender hierarchies and oppression. It will be hard to fight the powerful interest groups in America. and also the foreign ones (like Israel), but that has to be done.

As an ELCA Lutheran American-Swede with family roots in MN, it's exciting to see him in this position. ;) His speech in Philadelphia made me and my husband tear up. Such a hopeful time!

I agree. Losing our governor for the good of the country and democracy. 😟🫡 I'm so excited for Lt. Gov. Flanagan. Some say he couldn't be a better VP candidate if he were created in a lab. The same people who, a week earlier, were cheering for some other choices. I just hope they don't burn out. Heavy campaigning out of the gate. I think President Biden is very pleased by the exuberance people are showing for them and politics. I love Joe Biden and know he could have been reelected. But this selfless patriotic move sped up the timeline so we could have our first woman 👠 president. I love what Jesse Ventura said, "Men have screwed things up. Let's let a woman do things right " (or words to that effect ).
