If you ever get in a sticky situation where you can't find water. The best thing to do is try to find some carbon and or dirt and sand. you can find some form of carbon even charcoal as long as it doesn't have lighter fluid in it. As long as it's plain charcoal with no presaturated accelerant on it. you can crush it up into a powder or A smile as you can get it and put a layer of sand in the bottom of a 5-gallon bucket about 3 in d and then a layer of carbon about an inch deep and then a layer of sand and then a layer of carbon and then later sand. In the dead center of the bucket poke a hole about as big around as a pencil lead. Hang the bucket up and pour pea, sewer water, stagnant water, pond water or any other water source as long as it's not poison. However, as long as it's not anthrax or strychnine, the carbon and sand will 100% purify the water. Yes, it will actually be clear. If you take black sewer water and filter it, it will come out on the other side clear... Not the first time but it will come out clear after about three to four filtering cycles. people get lost in the wilderness all the time and die from thirst. When I hear stories like that it absolutely blows me away. It's so easy to dinner and make 100% progress drinking water. Oh btw, man has been making fire since beginning of manand if you have the means to put water and some form of bowl weatherby stone ormetal or glass or wood, it will purify the water if you boil it for at least 30 minutes.

They probably die from not being able to find charcoal or a 5 gallon bucket. If you can always be prepared with fire starting implements and a fire proof container, it might save your life as far as clean drinking water.
@mk_45444 жыл бұрын
Hey man you seem to be knowledgeable about this matter but I don't really understand what you said, so please repeat it again but simply
@solomonbacon88934 жыл бұрын
@@mk_4544 the idea here is hes making a carbon filter. Layering the materials in the bottom of the bucket and then pouring the unsanitized water onto the filtering medium. Repeating the process until the water runs clear. The carbon(charcoal unsaturated with accelerant normally used for easier grilling), sand, gravel, etc. act as a fishing net. Catching tiny particles and harmful microbes as the water passes through. BUT if possible ALWAYS boil your water before drinking.

I do enjoy it all together but since I’m a bit late to the channel, I recently listened to the first 3 so if it’s not too much of a bother, time stamps would be great. Thank you so much. I’m so glad to have found your channel! Also, the story is very interesting & informative too in the event a situation arises that would require something of this sort. Would love more from the author in this series & perhaps a prequel giving more details of how our world came to be this way with its unusual threats. I imagine going forward some new conflict since things seem to be going just a bit too well. Maybe regarding this “council” who seem a bit mysterious or some unforeseen new threat. I’m hopeful too that our Wanderer finds love or something that gives him more fulfillment as he seems rather lonely at times with only his diary to offer comfort. Great story & fantastic narration as usual. Thank you doctor!

Awesome story and love it like this so you keep the train of thought going. Can't wait for the rest. So interesting to listen how slowly they're getting back to a decent life and how everyone can be useful. It like learning how the first communities started. Love your narrations and been listening just about non stop at work for the last 2 weeks. Just want to say great work and love your channel. Makes my day go by so much easier. I work on a horse farm out in the middle of nowhere and usually out there by myself all day. Put in my earbuds and time goes by so fast. Even as when the sun sets and silence falls and nothing but stars are illuminating the sky your stories make it more interesting. Lol.

I did enjoy that. Fell asleep part way through so I'll have to go back and listen. or more than likely I'll just start at the beginning again. I hope the author does continue the story.
