How long do you think dirty politics and unfair monopolies can stop the growth of solar?
@riley_oneill5 жыл бұрын
Solar is still growing and at a considerable rate. Fossil Fuel companies will have to compete against an even cheaper solar 5 years in the future. Something they will be unable to do. The cheapest energy contracts in the world are for subsidized solar. Their political efforts may buy them time in some marketplaces but they are stuck with a technology that no longer has the advantage of being cheapest. Their only option is to either reinvest the capital they have into alternative energy solutions or to drastically reduce their prices and profits.

Solar works for some parts of the world, just as Geo thermal works in some parts of the world. We should be using many sources of power and not focus on one.

I agree, but we'll be able to scale and deploy only if we're spending money on the tech R&D, rather than trying to dissolve it like many of these companies are.

does it count as censorship if you intentionally spread misinformation, fund the lobbies that shutdown a movement and other tactics described in this video? or is it worse?

The economic value of renewable energy drops with penetration. That is why energy costs go up when renewable market share increases. The video fails to understand even the basics of energy.
