I saw their story and this song came from her telling him If you just give me five more minutes to love you she promised things would turn around. He suffered from severe PTSD and she saw that he was about to end his life. And he hung on in there. Their story is so sad, but inspiring.

Thank you for doing the interview I was just listening to on the Radio here in NYC. I am a first responder and a COVID-19 Survivor working at Bellevue Hospital. On March 23, 2020 there was a moment when it really wasn't looking or feeling good for me to be on this side of the my journey. I woke up on the 23 in a pool of sweat and began coughing so hard in my body it felt like something was stuck inside my chest something was in my lungs that wasn't supposed to be there and I've never cough so hard in my life and I'm 64 years of age born Dec. 18th and with one very very hard cough up came a big chunk of what looked to me like raw liver dripping in blood red from inside my lungs. I began the fight to catch my breath which was so hard for me to get a full breath. Second after I began bleeding from my orifices. Holding on for the next few minutes was all I could think about and this song about wanting 5 more minutes to love is a great song for me to have awoken up to this New Years Eve of 2021 (right now it's now December 31st, 2020 and there is only 10 hours before the world can move on to a brighter tomorrow) . Thank you so much for sharing you all’s story of how this song came to be and for continuing to love and inspire others to seek their 5 more minutes to love. Take care, be safe, live in faith and keep up the good work the both of you.
