There was a really cool desperation I felt with 80s music and this really brings that sense of hopeless love back. Really enjoy this tune

To my mind all that cool desperation was coming out of Great Britain, Richard Butler, Roert Smith, Ian Curtis et al. REM made the cut though. And this band here is phenomenal as well.

this is where I first saw them. It's amazing to know that somethings stick with you for so long. Something in you just switched over and there you go. Bought the album, and another and wish to see them live one day....

To have Paul Shaffer play on one of your tunes has got to be like the ultimate high five. So good.

Best version of this song by some stretch, they vary their live versions continuously but I think he hit every note on his guitar perfectly in this performance....The mini solo 2 thirds thru is nothing short of pitch perfect

What a great performance. Guitar lead is louder here than the recording and I think it's best.

+Michael Newton When I hear this band it conjures up images of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.....but they do it in their own way and it doesn't come off as copy cat. They make it fresh and new again. Amazing.
@EaglezFreak8 жыл бұрын
+Michael Newton All the band members met and formed the band out of a mutual respect and love for Dylan's music, look it up
@hotelfoxtrot49798 жыл бұрын
All folk rock history can be linked to Dylan... Beatles, Lennon & Harrison lyrics & Lennon's vocals emulated Dylan... Byrds... not only did the Byrds use Dylan songs, they emulated Dylan's game changing folk influence.... Springsteen took the verbal cues of Dylan's lyrics and ratcheted up Memphis Stax R&B to make great rock and roll... and Mark Knopfler also emulated Dylan's beautiful lyrical sensibilities in writing clever and contemporaneous statements about human experience... Dylan recognized Knopfler's kinship and worked with him as well. U2, Waterboys, CSNY... the list is endless

You can hear it the entire time lol it’s just deep, but it legit gives the song a backbone it wouldn’t have without it
