I’m very glad to hear the intention is to keep The War Room freely available in the new year, regardless of Patreon or other initiatives. I don’t watch you guys for free giveaways, I watch because I don’t have any other people in my real life who care at all about wargames, and this is a chance to at least listen to a few other people with the same interest as they talk about the hobby. I’ve gotten a number of ideas from your War Room discussions that I’ve integrated into my own gaming, and I have more than one game on P500 order because of Rough.

The insert for Nemo’s war is actually the only good one of all the games I have 😂. I love this show, chaps. Nothing you can do about it.

Returning to comment, as suggested. The Sound of Drums also has 1793 Patriots and Traitors (still on Gamefound, I’m unaffiliated), which either takes cues from euros, or just is a euro, but the components are swish. Cheers.

Fighting Formations has a very Euro-game like order matrix and the intuitive scale using cubes. Things like that make the game more unique.

Nate - what do you mean, wargames can learn anything from non-wargames? 😱😛 But in all honesty I think components of the wargames are absolutely fine, I actually preferred slightly thinner white core counters over the modern brown core ones as those are worse to clip. The area they could improve the most is more playtesting & development time, to limit the amount of errata and making the games more accessible. Good idea with the shipping money gents, especially if it gives you a peace of mind.
