The Titan Disc quest this week explains what Beledar is, and that Beledar isn't the only one. I suspect the next major patch will have us traveling around Azeroth looking for the other crystals like Beledar and claiming them before other factions, like the Arathi and Goblins, do. They're ultimately going to be needed to save Azeroth somehow. Probably by cleansing it of the Old God's influence once and for all. And there's a hint about that in this week's Titan Disc quest as well.

There was mention in the Hallowfall storyline that the Arathi Tinderboxes had powder that was very akin to Azerite (i cant remember if the power was from Beledar though) so my guess is that its likely going to be a valuable resource one way or the other.

That's what the Titans' want us to believe. We're told Beledar is Azeroth's calcified worldsoul but we see evidence of an impact around it and Naaru-like light and void phasing.

@@Impuracle - true, but at the same time it depends on how long that crystal has been embedded in the planet. its possible that similar to the old Gods rooting themselves into the planet, the Naaru did the same; maybe the Titans didnt recognise Beledar as a Naaru and the other crystals really are Azeroths crystalized soul-essence. Regarding the crater and phasing, crater could just be an after effect of something like the Titans or Old Gods trying to remove the crystal? and the phasing is currently explained as Azeroth being affected by the Black Blood and having 'mood swings' - Same could be said if it was a Naaru being too, but they seem to only enter their darkened phase when 'injured' and if Beledar is only just turning within recent years, then maybe that correlates to the Blood being used in some way (though how its getting transferred up to the cavern ceiling it beyond me, lol - but makes more sense if its te planets 'soul-stuff' as it would be absorbing it overall as opposed to being exposed to it if it was a Naaru.)

Love hearing about Gobbo lore. But, was this script made before this weeks Titan Disc lore drop? We know now that there are multiple Beledar crystals, so the one the goblins found is likely a different one, but since we don't know for sure, could still be the top of Beledar.

Man I'm glad everyone is enjoying TWW but it seems that I have to admit that it's just not for me. Done curve and that was stretching it already. Tbh I need the underlying themes to click and from Dornogal to their depiction of Nerubians (which should be a homerun with me) it's just so mild and mellow. The fact that everything feels like it's shooting for them E-for-everyone vibes isn't helping either. + the way everyone seems to pay really close attention to the mental state of their fellow companions has to be the most fantastical thing about wow right now.

Going to an island and dealing with Beledar, definitely happening this expansion. But for anyone who thinks we'll be visiting the Arathi Empire any time soon... you probably need to get ready for some disappointment. I'm convinced that the Arathi Empire (other side of Azeroth) is where we are going AFTER the Worldsoul Saga (dealt with on *this* side of Azeroth), which is why the seeds of that are being planted right now, and will continue to be over the next several years. The Empire will be a vast continent, explored and played out over multiple expansions.

This expansion is very unlikely but after world soul saga? I'm not even sure if Blizzard even plans to continue after that. Overall WoW will be around 25 years old then and could need a whole new start with a completely new engine and story. Afterall the big story with the cosmic war should find an end "soon".

Wokifying the goblins is such a terrible idea. I don't understand why the devs think every race needs to slowly change to be a modern 2024 human being on earth in terms of their attitudes and viewpoints. I hope Gazlowe is killed soon. Ugh... I don't like goblins. (As in their esthetic, dialogue, lore, culture, etc.) Having them feature prominently is going to be unpleasant. I suppose watching the Arathi tear them a new one could be satisfying, but a) that's not guaranteed, and b) we'd probably still have to work together with some goblin faction, which I'd rather not. Oh well.
