I met hawk after the matches one night at a local bar. He was the most humble, genuine person I’ve ever met. Steve Blackman and animal was with him. Hawk is the only one who sit down and drank and talked to us. The other two wouldn’t even speak. Just my experience. A special night, as a guy in his mid twenties will never forget. RIP big man. Thanks for the memory of a lifetime.

I’ve watched dozens and dozens of warlords interviews, I’ve genuinely never heard him say a nasty thing about anyone living or dead, the warm way he talks about guys like davey boy and animal, and the one where he tells the story about ultimate warrior telling Vince he wouldn’t go out to perform until he paid all the other guys (the venue hadn’t made a lot of money and Vince was telling them they wouldn’t get paid, warrior got every single one of them a cheque that night). Warlord is a legit gentle giant and loves all his friends dearly.

They were never allowed to dominate Demolition though which I though was dumb regardless of Demolition being heel or face.. they always gave demolition about a 15% edge... so it looked stupid that Fuji betrayed them as they were always getting over.. the Warlord should have been given extra respect for his mass but he generally just took a beating.. dumb WWE

It's extremely hard for big guys to do scaffold matches. That old saying "The bigger they are the harder they fall" is true. Lol. Big guys land alot harder and have a much greater chance of injury. Just look what happened to Sid when he landed 300+ pounds on one leg. That was just friggin sick.

I seen the scaffold match at the Civic Center in Philadelphia in 1986 with two of my buddies. It was the Road Warriors vs The Midnight Express I think, It was so long ago and all I can remember is how high these scaffolds were and that I'm saying to myself 'these guys got to be insane to attempt something like this.' I never seen an attraction like this before and I seen a few cards in my time, mostly from 1980-1984.

@thenicklas6152 жыл бұрын
@@donovanredmond8050 : The Road Warriors defeated them of course. Also on the card that night was Dusty Rhodes vs Tully Blanchard, The Rock n Roll Express vs The Big Boss Man and I can't remember. Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez vs Ronnie Garvin maybe & partner x. Also: Crusher Cruschev & Ivan Koloff. One thing I remember is both Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson double drop-kicking the Big Boss Man down; I thought that was cool since neither one of them could do that alone. Also Nikita Koloff vs Ric Flair for the NWA heavyweight championship after Nikita turned babyface which I liked. Unfortunately it ended in a draw.
